[OPEN MINGLE] Or perhaps in Slytherin
Who: Slytherin House! (And friends and visitors, of course!)
Where: Slytherin Common Room, Quidditch Pitch, various places around Hogwarts
When: Duration of the event
Rating: G (will edit as necessary)
Summary: Slytherin open log!
The Story:

The Slytherin common room was a long, low underground room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on chains. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece ahead of them, and several Slytherins were silhouetted around it in carved chairs.
The common room has changed, somewhat, from its historical description, thanks to the decorative powers of one Mettaton. Though it still extends beneath the lake and thus retains a greenish, aquatic cast, it's much more brightly lit, its cold, damp atmosphere replaced with dazzling MTT-brand warmth. Even the giant squid, occasionally peering in as it does its rounds of the lake, seems just a shade more glamorous inside such a charming space.
Students - and a ghost or two - can be found nestled within its confines, plotting mischief around the fire, studiously doing their homework (as good students do), or perhaps trading Chocolate Frog trading cards. Though Slytherin is not especially well-known for its wide-open, trusting nature, Slytherins are known for not snitching on each other; if a guest or two were to creep in for a while, then odds are, nobody saw anything.

np! its happens ;)
[He seems peeved that he won't just sit as he's been told to, but while someone might be somewhat cowed by another person having the high ground on him, he doesn't seem to be in the slightest.]
Let me put it another way. You're not welcome here.
you're so sweet :'D also this is going swimmingly coughs >>
[Damon knows he's seen other non Slytherins heading in and out of the lobby. It's not the fact that Damon is a Hufflepuff, and he knows exactly who Lucifer is close too. He dropped the gift off for her at her bed.]
I missed the part where someone assigned you as Headmaster of the school.
sshhhh no u ;) lmao just as planned
[Surely he knows he's not good enough for her.
Then again, who is?]I'm the seventh year prefect of my house. I think that gives me enough authority not to allow outsiders into our common room uninvited. And you've most certainly been uninvited.
no subject
[Damon should have expected it. He comes from a family who thinks the only valid house is their own. His jaw locks abruptly in anger, and he takes a step closer. His eyes narrow sharply as if in challenge. He came by to drop off a gift for Elena. He wasn't trying to get in a fight.]
How are you going to enforce it? Take points away, tell a professor?
no subject
[Klaus is dating a bloody Hufflepuff. He's snogged his fair share of them. He doesn't give a flying fuck about his house.
No one is good enough for Elena.]
Nothing so pedestrian. Besides, I wouldn't want to skip all the suspense.
no subject
[The words come out sharper than he means them, because he's angry, because the words hit a nerve. Of course, he is not good enough for Elena. He never has been. It's one of those many sentences that jab through his head and his chest. Elena wants him, and hell, he could never figure out why, but he knows he wants her too. There's nothing and no one he has wanted more, and he's finally let himself accept that without worrying about it being taken away. Like hell is he going to let this guy get in the way.
Damon takes several steps closer now. He remains on his feet, anger boiling under the surface.]
You're not going to intimidate me so there's no suspense.
no subject
[Klaus, in particular, for one.
He doesn't stand, peering up at him with the expression of someone not at a lower vantage point.]
I'm not trying to intimidate you. I don't need to. I know how to follow through whether you back off or not. I don't give threats, only promises.
no subject
[Because he doesn't. His hand becomes a fist in his anger, and he knows exactly where he wants that fist to go, right into his smug jaw.
Damon looks down at him, making a face, trying to hold on to his limited amount of control. That someone shouldn't threaten but promise.]
Then you'll have to be prepared to follow through with your promise. Elena wants to be with me, and it's what I want too.
no subject
[Then he shoos him away with a flick of his hand.]
And I will. I always do. Now get out of my face.
