[Sirius gapes for a moment longer before he clicks his jaw shut.]

Well, I guess that's one thing we can strike off the list.

[He reaches out and guides Stan away from the door by the shoulder.]

My turn.

[Sirius aims his wand and, drawing a tight circle in the air, says:]

Confringo!

[A small ball of fire and force explodes against one of the door's hinges. After the light smoke dissipates, it's clear that this didn't even leave a mark.]

...Huh. Okay, no, let me-- Alohomora.

[Nothing. Not that he expected this door to have the typical lock. It'd go against this whole puzzlechallenge whatever that's been happening.]

[Stan's memories of the actual magic parts of that Hogwarts event are vague at best, and he's about to tell this kid off for waving a stick at the problem, but color him surprised when he actually shoots fire out of it. He's impressed...for all of two seconds. You know, until it doesn't do anything.]

Well, that didn't do squat. And it's not the kinda lock you can just pick or we would've been outta here ten minutes ago.
