+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

Hm... I didn't think that plan would actually happen.
[He took a bit of an apple slice, not elaborating. It was an idea he had when he found out his father was not only forcing him to partake in the holiday-- He was also furthering his plan in pushing Damian to make friends with the Super son. So they were stopping by the Kent household as well.
Father never said Damian had to bring a gift but, it was tradition, right? And if he was going to do it, he wanted to do it right. So, of course, he hacked all of Kent's social media (Which was lacking since the kid was only ten) to try and find something the boy would like-- but he was whisked away before his plan could come into play.]
no subject
Anyway, I was gonna ask if you wanted to play sometime.
no subject
Hm... depends.
[He took a bite and chewed slowly, taking his time then swallowing.]
You ready to get your butt kicked again so soon?
[He smirked at him. That's Damian speak for "Yes".]
no subject
( he wouldn't, obviously, but the point is--why does damian have to sass him about losing. first off, he cheated the last time he won. second, maybe he won the video game, but this damian doesn't need to know that or maybe he does and that's what he's saying. how would he know. he doesn't even remember it!! )
no subject
[And he has to sass you because you're you, Kent. Because...you're you.]
no subject
Done? I got my room all set up.
no subject
Lead the way.
no subject
and once damian does finish, jon is quick to get back up to his feet, reaching back to grab onto part of damian's sleeve, holding onto him as he leads him towards his room. )
Do you think it'd be a little suspicious, for people to see Superboy and Robin going into Jon Kent's room?
no subject
He let Kent's hand go so he could stop, then removed his cape and hood. He proceeded to swaddle them around Jon's shoulders, tucking the hood over the boy's head and covering the "S" shield on his sweater by closing the dark cape around him.]
There. Now they'll just think Robin is walking around with a dark cloaked figure to a random room since unless you advertised over the network which room you picked, I doubt anyone knows yet.
[Wait... He gave Jon an accusing look.]
Did you advertise your rooms location over the network?
no subject
he bends down when damian's cloak is thrown over him, stops walking to let damian wrap it around him. he's pretty sure he doesn't need a dark cloak, but this is fine too. jon probably could just speed his way into it if he needed to, but-- )
No, I didn't advertise it. Someone helped me pick out my room, though? Where's your room?
no subject
Of course they did.
[He adjust the cape on Kent's shoulders but doesn't answer his question. Instead taking a step back and looking off in the distance.]
Are we far from your room?
no subject
( so it's about three stories up, which isn't the furthest away it could be. jon takes hold of damian's sleeve once more, starts to lead him to the stairs. at a normal person pace. )
Where's yours?
no subject
Depends on who you ask.
[He lightly batted Kent's hand back under the cape, tugging it closed again then sighed. Okay, nevermind, this was more trouble than it was worth.]
This isn't working. You fidget too much. [He looked around to make sure they were alone.]
Do you have your glasses? For some reason, those work and people will just think you're Jon Kent with a Superman shirt on taking Robin to your room. [Nothing odd about that.]
no subject
Sorry, I left them in my room, but I'll stop. I'll try to stop at least. ( but wow, rude damian. jon stands himself up straight again, makes his way to the stairs and starts heading up them. )
no subject
[Or at least he assumed Kent was on the same page. Sure they saved their fathers from that genetic monstrosity, but that was more out of necessity wasn't it? He climbed the stairs at Jon's side and kept looking ahead.]
What changed your mind?
no subject
You have your strengths and weaknesses, and so do I. But if we work together, we can help cover each others' weaknesses, and make our strengths stronger.
no subject
Damian looked over at Jon, seeming to eye him. There was the tricky matter of how Jon's emotional state tended to make his powers flux. He wondered if his future self-has cracked the code on how to manipulate that.]
Yes, I suppose your skill set has its perks. [This is a compliment Kent. You may take it or leave it.] Even if you are quite green and can't seem to fly yet? I noticed you only jumping and running when we went to the kitchen. [Too slow. Damian giveth and Damian taketh away.]
These must be the flaws your father wants me to balance out but I can't possibly think what Batman expect me to learn from you.
[This is quite puzzling.]
no subject
it doesn't bother him much, aside from when things like this come up; his dad has a lot of important things to do, and jon knows he'd have been around more if he could be. except when it comes to things like this: being behind where he should be. ) I don't think either of us have flaws, Damian. You're only human, and I'm--half human? Maybe that phrase doesn't work so well anymore Everyone's got strengths and weaknesses, right?
I'm strong. Fast. I've got heat vision and all that stuff. But that's not really what makes a hero, is it? It's integrity, a sense of justice, getting involved.
. . but I'm pretty sure your dad just wants you to be a normal kid sometimes too, right? That's something I know how to do.
no subject
Also, excuse? HOW DARE YOU. Only human?!]
Tt, normal kid. I have been trained since I was four in everything but normal or child.
And you mean you know how to act normal to cover the fact that a lack of control in your powers makes you more of a menace than a hero.
[And that if you start throwing a fit, you could blow someone to dust.
He gave a faint shrug and started walking a bit faster when they came closer to the 4th floor.]
It's more liberating to just accept that we aren't normal, Superboy.
no subject
he stops in his tracks mid-step on the stairs, shifts back, and using his super speed, reaches out to grab onto damian's collar, to lift him up and off of the ground, brows furrowed. ) I'm not a menace. I would never--intentionally hurt someone, you know that. You wouldn't hang around me if you thought I would, would you? I'm working on control. It's--it's hard, Damian. Before, I'd just go full power with anything and everything, you know? Now I have to constantly hold myself back. I can't throw a snowball like I used to, or walk like I used to, do my chores like I used to. I've gotta constantly restrain myself.
( jon drops him just as fast as he'd picked him up, fingers releasing his collar and letting him back down easy. ) We aren't normal. But even your dad acts normal during the day, doesn't he?
no subject
Even as he was lowered back to the ground, he didn't take his eyes off the boy's face then gave a cryptic smirk.]
Believe me, I understand how hard it can be to show restraint.
[Afterall, there was a reason his father had a 'No killing' rule. You were just almost on the bad end of that Kent.]
Still just an act. The only difference is, the two of you started normal. You know how to slip the mask back on. I never had a mask, to begin with.
Think how it would be if you were born with these abilities and grew to know them and take comfort in knowing they were there? Now, imagine moving somewhere and have everyone in your life tell you everything you've known, everything you do or think is wrong and monsterous.
[He turned his back to Kent again and gestured down the hall on the 4th floor.] What's the room number?
no subject
( his hands raise up. palms pressing both to his face but he keeps walking anyway. ) 's room 52. ( why is damian so hard to deal with. it's not even that he's hard to talk to or be around, it's the way he reacts to everything. ) And you and eeveryone else back home keep saying that I'm dangerous and wrong! Like I can just not be half alien. .
( the palms he'd pressed to his face raise again, flail about a bit next to him as he walks. this is a stupid conversation, but it's too late, they're already having it. )
You're wrong and monstrous. I'm wrong and monstrous. Maybe we'll all just wrong and monstrous! Maybe that's it, Damian.
no subject
Because they usually are wrong and ...well you are dangerous. [He placed a finger over Jon's lips to stop him from going off.] Not intentionally. At least... I believe that... now. It's just logically, yes, you are more dangerous than the average human and people are wary, my father included. He even has contingencies in place for your father. A man he trusts that man with his life. So, no, I don't truly believe you are monstrous.
[Well maybe at first but opinions can change!] That title can remain mine. [He groaned softly and lowered his hand.] I know you can't help who you are. [He understood wanting to change one's self so badly.] But yes, fine I realize now that perhaps throwing that Batarang at you was a ...miscalculation.
[That was the closest Jon was going to get to an apology but Kent was beating himself up and the realization that he was the one causing it made that annoying cold feeling stir in his stomach. The feeling he got when he disappointed father or Grayson. A feeling Jon was NOT supposed to incite.
He growled softly in frustration and started to forcibly lead Kent down the hall by his hand.]
One of my rooms it over there. [He pointed to room 48 as they passed it, then squeezed Jon's hand.] Stop being so dramatic.
no subject
go figure. but damian shuts him up, and jon is definitely more than capable of removing his hand--but he doesn't. damian is talking, it's rude to interrupt. so he lets him finish, first, looks over to the room he was gesturing over to when they pass it and makes a mental note that damian's about four doors down from him. what a coincidence. --wait a second. )
One of? How many rooms do you have? ( his gaze shifts down to eye damian's hand on his own, brows furrowed. ) You're not monstrous. Just different. There's nothing monster-like about you, you know.
( damian's just a kid. a kid being raised under batman, which explains a lot of his. . issues, as far as jon is concerned, but still a kid regardless. even if he's really smart, resourceful, and has a bad attitude. )
no subject
[Damian said as if this should be obvious, then he looked over when Kent said there was nothing monster-like about him. Did he just forget that Damian almost killed him? Or did he honestly think Damian was just playing with him?
...This world would eat you up if not for your powers Kent.]
No, can't say that I do know. This your room? [He stopped outside room 52 and dropped Kent's hand to fold his arms.]
