Summary: The Red Queen has thrown a carnival for everyone!
The Story:


From Friday, March 9, through Friday, March 16, the gardens and grounds of the Mansion will be a sprawling a carnival. The masked, unspeaking vendors will be selling trinkets and running free game booths. Carnival rides, exhibits, and foods represent all of the various cultures of those currently residing in the Mansion.


Of particular note, and perhaps incongruously, everything is decorated with red hearts.

Use this log for any and all of your carnival needs!

Is there stuff like this even where you're from? [In his weird inside-out demon world? Although it wasn't always like that...]

Come on. [He tugs at Jean.] I won't make you go on rides or anything, but you've got to at least eat something.

[angewiesen]

So you're actually supposed to get on these death trap mine cart things? [Okay, he's coming, he's coming!] And it's supposed to be fun?

[Jean. Jean. Think for a moment about what you every day with your gear, and you're afraid of a carnival roller coaster?]

[Exactly.]

Whatever. You use that gear you have to fly around. Why not use a mine cart thing?

[angewiesen]

When I'm using my gear, I pull the triggers. [Although deep down, he knows that Naoki is totally right.] It doesn't look like anyone's in control of that thing.

[noreason]

Of course there is. It's one of those masked guys.

[Yet another reason to trust the rides. Those guys are totally not suspect at all.]

[angewiesen]

And they know what they're doing? [They look a lot like the merchants that bartered on these grounds, and Jean sure as hell doesn't trust those guys.] One of the Queens set this whole thing up. Who knows what's going to happen to us after...

[Talk about a party pooper.]

[noreason]

You really hate fun, don't you?

[angewiesen]

I do not.

[Yes you do, Jean.]

I just prefer my fun to not have any strings attached.

[noreason]

You're in Wonderland. That's not really avoidable.

[angewiesen]

You know my routine. I try to keep things on the down low. As little magic as possible.

[noreason]

Well, you can't do that forever. Come on.

[He drags Jean with him to a roller coaster because this has to happen now.]

[angewiesen]

[Well, Naoki is going to have to very literally drag him, because he's digging in his heels.]

And did you ever get on that horse, like you promised you would?

[noreason]

[Jean, don't make him bodily carry you.]

I'm going to!

[angewiesen]

[GO AHEAD AND TRY.]

[angewiesen]

That was like a month ago! You totally forgot!

[noreason]

I didn't forget!

[He was just avoiding it because it's terrifying!]

[angewiesen]

If I go on the death cart, you have to ride a horse!

[noreason]

I said I'd ride a horse!

[Someday!]

I said I'd do it, so come on and get on the damn roller coaster.

[angewiesen]

This week. I'm coming to get you this week, after this thing is over. Shake on it, and I'll get on your roller coaster.

Fine. [He holds his hand out.] This week, I'm going to get on a death monster and it will probably kill me. Now go.

[angewiesen]

[Jean spits in his hand and takes Naoki's for a hearty shake.] There. Now we're even.

[And he will now get on the roller coaster. No more dragging. Fair's fair.]

[noreason]

[He doesn't get the spitting and wipes his hand on his pants as he leads Jean to the death trap roller coaster.

Now he'll have to...actually....ride a horse.......

Jean is going to laugh so hard at him, this is going to be terrible. The roller coaster ride better be worth it.]
