Transcending limitations
Who: Doctor Whale and his victims test subjects or lab assistants
Where: Mainly his laboratory but probably other places too
When: During the science event
Rating: R more than likely
Summary: Doctor Whale doing science things and experimenting on people
The Story: He was always seeking answers, always wanting to push the limits. All this time in Wonderland and he never tried to really push those limits. But something about this particular weekend made him forego any restraint. He wasn't going to stop until he found answers.
If people got hurt in the process, he did happen to have Adam's healing blood. But before he got ahead of himself, he needed to find his subjects... Hopefully Luke wasn't too squemish, because Whale would need his assistant.

gdi I keep writing in present tense
And then, he stopped struggling to maintain control and let go. His eyes changed a little, their muted glow sharply increasing and then irises flickering golden for a moment, but he didn't want to release Chaos - this was a closed in space, and the wingspan would only be a hinderance here. Besides, he thought there was a better chance of breaking the straps with another more brutish inner ... whatever they were. (He had his theories, but not really remembering or knowing the entirety of what Dr. Hojo had done to him, he could never be sure.)
Thus, he began to shift.
Even though he was more than used to it by now, Vincent still couldn't quite suppress the low snarlgaspcry of pain as a shudder passed down his spine, and all of his muscles seemed to spasm at once against the restraints that held him. Swiftly and with the wet popping of shifting bones and snap of moving ligaments, the transformation began. His limbs rapidly thickened, and his rib cage expanded, as he increased in bulk. Shadows from his cloak rippling around him briefly obscured parts of his body, and most of his clothing seemed to melt into him. The metal of his claw, too, changed, morphing into a meatier fist to match everything else. Metal bolts popped out of his skin in places, and static electricity crackled between them, as the transformation completed and the creature snarled at Dr. Whale between lips that had sewn themselves shut.
He ripped at the straps that bound him, struggling to snap them so that he could lunge at the doctor and, perhaps, snap him as well.

He took a step back as Vincent began to change, his breath catching in his throat. Horrified and yet fascinated, Whale couldn't tear his eyes away as the man turned into... something else. Something that was very familiar indeed. Whale clenched his hand into a fist convulsively; it was the same hand that Daniel ripped off his shoulder after coming back to life.
It would take a moment to be composed enough for the next phase in his plan. At the moment all Whale could do was stare at the monster. A monster that looked just like the popular depiction of his own creation.

"I need a generator," he instructed his closet. "Something that will allow me to measure the electrical output of this monster." The closet provided, and Whale wheeled the device back over to the monster.
The problem now was in keeping him still long enough for Whale to hook the machine up. "I'm going to shoot you again if you don't calm down," Whale warned him coldly.

He aimed the gun, readying the generator. Whale moved quickly, hooking it up to one of the bolts on the monster's neck. He was ready to shoot the moment the monster broke free from his restraitns.

So when it looked like Vincent was going to break free, Whale pulled the trigger and again shot him with a tranquilizer.

Whale would've liked to at least draw some blood, but unfortunately couldn't do so now that the tranquilizer was running through the man's system. He did get hair and saliva samples for DNA testing. As for the rest, well... there was transcending limitations and there was pushing those limits to the breaking point.
He needed a cage. Something insulated and enforced with stone. He could dump the unconscious man in there and continue his observations safely once he awke.
gdi I switched tenses again...
But eventually, of course, he would wake up again...

Maybe he could sense that Vincent was going to wake sooner this time, or he just wanted to err on the side of caution. Either way, once the blood was drawn Whale unstrapped the man and started dragging his limp body out into the hallway. There was at least enough time to deposit the body far away from Whale's room. Not that Vincent got to see which number it was to come back for revenge.
