Transcending limitations
Who: Doctor Whale and his victims test subjects or lab assistants
Where: Mainly his laboratory but probably other places too
When: During the science event
Rating: R more than likely
Summary: Doctor Whale doing science things and experimenting on people
The Story: He was always seeking answers, always wanting to push the limits. All this time in Wonderland and he never tried to really push those limits. But something about this particular weekend made him forego any restraint. He wasn't going to stop until he found answers.
If people got hurt in the process, he did happen to have Adam's healing blood. But before he got ahead of himself, he needed to find his subjects... Hopefully Luke wasn't too squemish, because Whale would need his assistant.

Edward Elric

So much research, and so little time. At some point, Ed's taken off his gloves so his automail hand is definitely showing and he's written down a lot of stuff.
no subject
"Reading anything interesting?" he asked as he approached Edward.

He leaned forward, pretending to reach for the books. One hand was moving for the books while the other took out the taser he was carrying. Whale was going to press it to Edward's back, if he could, and drag the boy's body back to his laboratory.
no subject
Ed looks down at his books. "Well, I think I'm done with--" What he was saying gets cut off by a pained yell when the taser hits and he slumps over because tasers? Not fun.
Have fun with the two hundred and forty pounds or so of dead weight. That automail is heavy and adds quite a bit to Ed's weight.
no subject
Carrying that weight was going to be difficult but his room was close by. And this would look better than his other idea of dragging the boy by his ankles. Fewer people would question an unconscious boy slung over the doctor's shoulders.
Hopefully he would be out cold, because as soon as Whale got him into the lab he was strapping Edward down to examine the automail at length.
no subject
Assuming that Whale's been removing clothes so he could actually see things, he'll find that Ed's automail arm goes all the way up to his shoulder and the automail part of Ed's leg goes up to two or three inches above the knee.
no subject
It was fascinating... So perfectly seamed together. Better than any prosthetic Whale knew. Then there were the parts themselves. The craftsmanship was unlike anything he saw before. Whoever built these was a master of the craft. Best of all, this was all accomplished by science.
Whale wouldn't remove the limbs; he could see that there was no hope of him doing so without damaging Edward's body. So for now he sat down and began to sketch the automail arm in detail. He needed to do this part now while Edward was unconscious.

Ed stays out of it for awhile longer although Whale may not have time to draw the leg too before Ed wakes up.

After all, he would need the boy awake to observe how the automail functioned.

The situation he's waking up into results in him becoming alert much faster and struggling to get loose. "Hey! What the hell's going on?!"

"No!" Ed starts struggling harder. He wants no part of either the needle or being studied like some sort of lab rat. Although the needle is a bigger 'do not want' right now, frankly.

He struggles a little longer, fighting the effects of the sedative before he finally stops, panting and eying Whale with subdued resentfulness.
He was really not a fan of the forced calmness although at least it wasn't enough to actually knock him out. Not being conscious and aware of what was happening would have been worse.
no subject
"How do you feel? Can you move the fingers on both hands?" It was a good way to see the automail in action.
no subject
Ed frowns. "Not as pissed off as I want to be." He flexes his fingers to check them and make sure there weren't weird side-effects from the sedative.
no subject
"Could you crush this into a ball using your automail hand?" he asked politely.

"Now your real hand, for comparison." Whale kept the taser close just in case Edward wanted to be difficult again.
