[OPEN/PARTY POST] And when you all get shot and try to carry on;
Who: Anyone and everyone who is already a participant or wishes to join the Wonderland resistance! That means you. Yes, you. Get in here!
Where: Fort Dixon-Potter
When: Sunday, 6/15, 9:00 PM and onwards.
Rating: PG by default.
Summary:
The Story:
Sometime before nine o'clock rolls around, those who know their way begin heading towards the resistance hideout in the woods -- or Fort Dixon-Potter, as its come to be known. To any who have been invited to attend but don't quite know how to get there, Daryl Dixon has made himself available to escort people to the meeting, letting people in a few at a time.
Though the resistance's de facto leader is no longer with them, several veteran members have chosen to make use of their resources and bring as many more people into the fold as they can. There's food provided for all who attend: burgers, hot dogs, and other standard cookout fare to be passed around throughout the evening. Notebooks will be handed to all new members, and all will be asked to sign their names on the official roster, for reasons. It's time to discuss how to move forward with Operation: Anti-Jabberwocky. If anyone has questions about the last eight months or so in Wonderland? Now is the time to ask.
((OOC: This log is the follow-up to this post concerning re-organizing the resistance. If you're looking for the full OOC rundown of what the resistance is and how you can use it as a tool ingame, please see the information provided here and here! Feel free to use any of the subthreads below, or start top-levels for your characters as you see fit!))

Yes. Chris Argent. [ Pausing in his curiosity, he gives her a smile. ] Have you been around as long as Allison has?
no subject
[They're not terribly close, but she remembers about the time Allison got here -- and apparently, if their future selves are anything to go by, someday they will be.]
Over a year now. Time moves pretty quickly around here, seems like. Emma Swan, by the way.

I was thinking about that the other day, how fast time moves. Probably tied to the life or death situations we find ourselves in every few weeks. [ He gives her a half smile at that. Life or death situations aren't new in his world, but they're certainly much different here than back home. ] It's a good sign you've all managed to keep this kind of thing under wraps. I was starting to think there were no secrets here.

[She smiles wrly. She knows word gets around, but they do what they can.]
The important thing is having a way to communicate that the natives can't spy on. We've already got people in here complaining that it's futile or that there's no point, but I'd say even if that's all we accomplish here, it's worth it.

[ He'd been wondering about communication, too, before arriving here. The network isn't safe, that much he knows, and when every room inside the mansion has a mirror there's no practically no privacy anywhere. ]
How do these work? [ He grabs the notebook from under his arm, raising an eyebrow. ] Mind giving me a quick rundown?

[She smiles, relatively satisfied. It's nice to hear a vote of confidence, a welcome change from all the doubt and skepticism that's coming from all corners. Even a cynic like Emma has to believe in a cause now and then.]
Sure. It's easy. Here, check this out.
[She pulls a pen out of her back pocket, then flips open to the back page of her notebook and writes out her first name. Then she inclines her head towards him, nodding at his own notebook.]
Flip to the back of yours.

That's one way to communicate. [ One he approves of, even if he doesn't necessarily understand how it's possible. ] Is this some sort of spell? I'm not as well versed in a lot of the magic people seem to have around here.
no subject
[James seems to be able to do a thousand different things with varying specifics, like it was no trouble at all. Most of her magic is accidental.]
But you've got it. Magic, courtesy of James Potter this time around.
[And, really -- most times.]

[ That name - James Potter - rings a distant bell in his memory. His brow furrows a bit as he tries to place it. ]
I don't think I've met him but the name sounds familiar.
no subject
[Emma grins -- she enjoys this game, to a certain degree, considering how many people she knows firsthand who were always thought to be storybook characters.]
You might have read about him - or maybe your daughter did. More specifically, his son, Harry?
no subject
Allison might have read them. I remember the movies, seemed like they were a pretty big deal. [ Chris hasn't had the good luck of most to recognize anyone here from a book or movie, but he knows it's something that happens. ] Does he know how famous his son is?
no subject
[She wonders if Henry skipped that phase on account of being related to actual fairy tales.]
Oh, he does. Can't stop bragging about it. The kid's been back and forth here a few times. I feel bad for James. He's young, but he still knows Harry's his kid. He cares about him. It's not easy to lose someone like that.
[She knows from experience.]
no subject
I should count myself lucky, then. Having Allison appear then vanish several times over the course of being here... [ He trails off a bit, shaking his head. ] I'd rather have that than have myself doing the same to her.
