[OPEN/PARTY POST] And when you all get shot and try to carry on;
Who: Anyone and everyone who is already a participant or wishes to join the Wonderland resistance! That means you. Yes, you. Get in here!
Where: Fort Dixon-Potter
When: Sunday, 6/15, 9:00 PM and onwards.
Rating: PG by default.
Summary:
The Story:
Sometime before nine o'clock rolls around, those who know their way begin heading towards the resistance hideout in the woods -- or Fort Dixon-Potter, as its come to be known. To any who have been invited to attend but don't quite know how to get there, Daryl Dixon has made himself available to escort people to the meeting, letting people in a few at a time.
Though the resistance's de facto leader is no longer with them, several veteran members have chosen to make use of their resources and bring as many more people into the fold as they can. There's food provided for all who attend: burgers, hot dogs, and other standard cookout fare to be passed around throughout the evening. Notebooks will be handed to all new members, and all will be asked to sign their names on the official roster, for reasons. It's time to discuss how to move forward with Operation: Anti-Jabberwocky. If anyone has questions about the last eight months or so in Wonderland? Now is the time to ask.
((OOC: This log is the follow-up to this post concerning re-organizing the resistance. If you're looking for the full OOC rundown of what the resistance is and how you can use it as a tool ingame, please see the information provided here and here! Feel free to use any of the subthreads below, or start top-levels for your characters as you see fit!))

[To Steve's credit, they hadn't talked long -- they weren't exactly friends so much as they were vague acquaintances. Some things just didn't come up during small talk.]
Oh, I'm not really-- I mean, I'm not in charge or anything. Just helping pick up the pieces. Our old leader vanished and we kind of fell out of the usual routine. Figured this time around, we'd avoid having that problem by not putting all our eggs in one basket. Get a bunch of the veteran residents keeping things going together.

So anyway, you're helping run this thing, then. It sounds like you've been here a long time. [ There's a question hanging in the air. He doesn't know exactly how kosher it is to come out and ask people how long they've been here. Seems like it gets a lot of mixed reactions. ] Who else have you got?

[Regardless, she looks amused -- it's not exactly the kind of thing she'd go around bragging about, either, despite having grounds to do so.]
Yep. Over a year, anyway. Longer than I stay in most places. James Potter, John Blake, Sam Winchester, Daryl Dixon, Evelyn O'Connell, Castiel, Philip -- they've all been here a long while. All part of the group effort.

[ He wonders what she means by that first bit. A year isn't a long time to stay anywhere but a prison. Then again, maybe moving around just suits her.
A few of the names she mentions are familiar. Blake and Evelyn seemed like good people, and James was sorta his cousin for a while, but he doesn't think he's too biased. He's a soldier, so he'll follow orders from unfamiliar people if need be, under the circumstances, but knowing some of them gives him a little more confidence in what they're doing. ] I've met some of 'em. They definitely seem trustworthy but... That's a lot of heads, even if some of 'em end up going home. You think it's gonna be tough to keep everyone on the same page, when something comes up?

[Because giving up on banding together is not an option. Each other is all they have.]
We'll figure it out.
