Summary: It's your chance do your dance
The Story: After the culture festival wraps up on Wednesday afternoon, all students are invited to a dance in the gymnasium! There are snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course!), as well as cheesy paper decorations made by the student council members.

[Evelyn would argue that her eyes weren't wandering, that she simply likes who and what she likes, but that isn't a conversation they're going to have at the school dance. Frankly, she was a little miffed before when Hannibal told her that Will wasn't her type, as if he knew precisely what type suited her. Since then she's forgiven him, and perhaps he was only speaking as a concerned friend.

A concerned friend who looks mildly off tonight, but a concerned friend nonetheless.]

It is, yes.

[He expected her to twirl playfully, right? Because she executes a prompt little twirl.]

And don't you look handsome? You are aware, of course, that you owe me at least one dance this evening.

[ Of course he looks handsome, Evelyn. Hannibal does handsome very well, as far as he's concerned, and his concern is really the only concern that matters. ]

Of course I do, assuming they play something with a slower tempo and more melody.

[ The secret is, of course, that Hannibal has no idea how to dance to this music. If put under pressure he can make it work in swing or salsa, but this? No thank you. ]

[Hannibal is, quite possibly, the best-dressed student that Evelyn knows, although he only gets the chance to show off outside of school and in social gatherings.]

...well, I'm not saying the current arrangement is any good.

[It's something heinously awful that she can't identify. Evelyn listens to Classical music, opera, and the occasional jazz set.]
