Summary: It's your chance do your dance
The Story: After the culture festival wraps up on Wednesday afternoon, all students are invited to a dance in the gymnasium! There are snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course!), as well as cheesy paper decorations made by the student council members.

There will be no top-level threads for this log, so feel free to post open or closed threads for your characters. Just make sure to mark them appropriately, please!

I hate to see a lovely lady look so depressed.

[Despite his womanizing (and manizing) reputation, it was true enough that Jack hates to see anyone at a social event looking upset or hurt. Even if they have drying punch on them. His parents might be famous movie stars, but he's never been one to overlook someone at a party. One look at Becky had told Jack her story, and he'd ducked out quick to come back with a pink rose thieved from someone else's or from one of the vendors. It's this that he offers out to her.]

Captain Jack Harkness, at your service.

['Captain' of just what, no one quite knew. He could just be claiming the title to impress people.]

[ becky finds herself blinking quite a lot when jack approaches her with a rose. she's confused, for the most part, but also extremely flattered, and she isn't quite sure what she's to say to him. he's so handsome and he might not be sam winchester, but becky thinks she could make room in her heart for jack harkness.

she flushes and takes the rose hesitantly, failing in avoiding eye contact because how can she not look at him? ]

I — um. Thank you.

[Even if she won't look at him, he does at her. There's no shyness or coyness to Jack Harkness. Unfortunately. Nope, he looks her over and keeps smiling. She's pretty in a shy sort of way, one of those girls that he bets will become someone special later in life.]

Think I might be able to talk you into a dance?

[She isn't his usual sort, but it might be fun. And if it isn't, Jack will make it fun. It's a talent. Really.]

I promise not to step on your toes, and you can lead if you absolutely insist.

[ she definitely perks up when he asks her to dance, because, well... that's why she came here. she never thought anyone would actually ask, though. her face brightens almost immediately and she nods enthusiastically. ]
