( When Lydia had put up the invitation for the party she'd also asked for kind volunteers to help her decorate, or rather to do the heavy lifting as she directed them. Thankfully people had volunteered without too much persuasion or wheedling being required, and so far the whole decorating side of things was going rather well )

That should be over- ( Lydia turns, pointing to next to where one of the tables was on the back wall ) -there. Just next to it.

( Things were going smoothly, thankfully. Everything should be set up pretty quickly and it should go well ready for the party later. Maybe she'd even thank her help with dances )

( A couple of people had asked for Lydia's help with picking their clothes, or she'd 'kindly offered'. She couldn't have her friends looking silly at her party, not if they wanted to remember it as a fantastic night )

Trust me. You'll be fine.

( She'd already pulled the item out of the closet, and she'd pull another one out if she absolutely had to. If you asked her she'd gotten it perfect on the first go but apparently not everyone wanted to believe her )

( Lydia can be found doing just about everything in the room. It was decorated in a simple silver, but more elegant than a school dance would be, and there was even a small buffet table, drinks and music.

Lydia had pulled from the closet a cute dress and had let hair wave around her. She's busy throughout the night, moving between the punch, dance floor, talking to friends and thanking the people that had helped set this up. It's turned out better than she could expect so far and she's pleased.

Thrilled. She's in a fantastic mood, and anyone that pops through the door (when she isn't with someone else) might even be thanked for coming and told to enjoy themselves )

[Scott had someone to fetch before he makes it to Lydia's party. Spur of the moment decision, here, as he showed up at Billy's door, told him he needed to get semi-dressed up because they were going to a friend's party and 'no' wasn't a proper answer. He's sure Allison willy probably be here too, but distracting Billy from his worries came first. Scott will spend the night not thinking about his missing friend while making sure Billy spends the night not worrying about his missing boyfriend.

Into the ball room they go after much convincing from Scott.]

Lydia's one of my friends from back home. She'll be the amazing redhead in probably the most expensive-looking dress in the room. If we were back home, it'd be her birthday soon. And she's known for throwing the best parties in Beacon Hills though, so yeah.

['Formal' and 'party' were the only words Rebekah had needed to hear in order to be present. She arrives dressed accordingly with a reluctant-looking Hayley in tow, pausing once they pass through the double doors and taking a moment to appraise the room. From the looks of it, Lydia's attempts to recruit help had gone rather well.

She's prepared to deflect any complaints or criticism that her companion might be prepared to barrage her with; Hayley may consider herself to be above attending a teenage party, but Rebekah isn't. A party is a party, and she's privately desperate to rectify as many missed opportunities and experiences as she possibly can. Here, she feels, she's in her element, and she immediately makes her way over to get a drink -- though her hope is that before the evening is over, she'll have some young man fetching drinks for her instead.]

Chin up, Hayley. Once you've a few drinks in you, you'll feel better.

[About the party, about their being stuck here, about everything. She'll take even a little bit of improvement as a win. Rebekah herself will be game for socializing throughout the evening, making every effort to be winsome -- she showed up in Wonderland with a black cloud hanging over her head, and she's intent on correcting that first impression.]

[ Sorry, Lydia, did you want to look the best at your own party? Well that's not gonna happen, 'cause Lana's showed up in a rockin' pink number, and she's pregamed and ready to party! She wasn't particularly invited, per se, but she figured if this birthday girl was gonna announce it to the whole network, that counted as an invitation.

She can be found on the dance floor, mainly, or over by the buffet table during the slow songs. ]

[ Remus... stands out. Like a sore thumb. Between his plaid trousers, ruffled shirt, and dress robes, and the fact that he hasn't been to an actual formal party in, like, ever, he's incredibly uncomfortable. The music isn't like anything he's used to, but at least there's drinks and snacks. He can always rely on drinks and snacks. ]
