It's the exact kind of greeting that Crowley should expect. Castiel exits the car in a frustrated huff, though that means that he's just in time to watch Crowley eye the fake Dean as if he's a particularly good cut of meat.

It's jealousy that he feels then, although that's quickly displaced by something like embarrassment. He's not sure why, exactly, but maybe it has something to do with Crowley showing any attention toward Dean. His feelings for Dean are a minefield to navigate most of the time, and Crowley tends to know how to push every button. Without even saying anything, in this case.

"And what is yours full of? You lording over everyone from your throne?"

Crowley's always been very proud to be the King of Hell, but the title barely means anything here. He's most likely eager to be reminded of what he'd once been, before Wonderland put him in his place.

Crowley might have questioned the jealousy swelling up in his gut if that didn't seem like such a normal feeling to have when Castiel and Dean were together. He's not even sure who he's more jealous of between the two anymore. Maybe he's just jealous that no one looks at him like that.

Any thoughts and feelings immediately vanish from his mind at Castiel's question, though. For a moment, he just looks like a deer caught in headlights and there's nothing but pure dread.

"Yes!" He covers his face quickly, putting on his smarmiest smile. "You've caught me. It's just another day in Hell. My favorite place to be with all my favorite people and all my things. You know me so well, Cas."

That last bit might come off as being just slightly soaked in sarcasm.

When dread floods through him, Castiel frowns and takes a look around, as if he might find the explanation for the sudden emotion hanging around here somewhere. It doesn't make sense, given that Crowley's already found his room. There's nothing to dread anymore, the damage has already been done.

Crowley's sarcasm is not at all difficult to pick up on (Castiel has plenty of experience with identifying it by now), and he narrows his eyes at him. If it isn't that...

"Then what is there?" What would make a demon like Crowley happy? All that Castiel can imagine is something like absolute power, having finally won, but then again, he wouldn't really have a memory like that. Castiel and the Winchesters have done what they can to avert him at every turn.

If Crowley doesn't want to tell him directly, then all Castiel has to do is go look for himself. There's no reason for him to respect Crowley's privacy.

"Nothing that concerns you." The words are practically grit out. He doesn't want Castiel there, because Castiel is probably one of the few things that could ruin it. He could take Dean away the same way that Dean took him away. It's too close to the reality of what could happen and he still doesn't know how it's going to end. All he knows is that Dean will leave him. Everyone always does in the end.

"Go back to fellating your little ghost of Christmas past in here." He turns on his heal and starts to walk away.

Maybe if he makes Castiel angry enough, he'll forget to go look in Crowley's room at all and he'll just stay angry at Crowley. That's just fine by him.

Nothing that concerns him? That's definitely a matter of opinion, and the fact that Crowley is so firm about that only makes Castiel more curious. He knows where Crowley's room is, unless it's been moved somehow, and so all he has to do is drop by when he's not expecting it. Or use his wings to beat him there.

There's something that strikes him, though, a fear of abandonment that he's felt in the past. Most strongly when Dean and Sam had left him in that ring of fire, when he'd seen all of his good intentions scattered into ash.

It's that which causes him to stay put for the moment, even though it would be simple for him to chase after Crowley. Or simply head him off and reach his room first. He can look at it later -- for now he would rather stay where he can keep an eye on Sam and Dean, even if they're not real.
