"Good."

Which she means, because she wants no part of this. No part of this at all. But that means if Zelena didn't do it as part of her insane scheme, that means Wonderland is actually behind all of this. Between sharing emotions and the contents of her room? Regina's worried.

A feeling she quickly tamps down before too much hopefully gets through to Zelena and makes her curious. To make the diversion even more successful, she spins around to get a better look at the memory taking place around them.

"So this is Oz? How... green."

Worry? What on earth do you have to be worried about, Regina? Unless it's a worry that this empathy mess is permanent, which while unlikely...let's just say the feeling is mutual. Though right now, she's just annoyed because get out already. Seriously, why are you still here? Don't you have Robin Hood to go hang out with or some...

Actually, no. Don't go do that. Please don't.

“It is. Not that it's any of your business.”

"Given that you were spying on me for most of my life, I'd say turnabout is fair play, dear."

You admitted that to her face, and also there's a viewing portal in the floor. You're fucking creepy, sis. At least Regina had the decency to not watch every moment of Snow White's life. Like she was bad reality tv when Regina was feeling particularly bored with conquering realms.

"I can see why you wanted to leave."

“No, you can't. You can't even begin to imagine.”

Because she was happy for once in her entire awful life. She was actually happy and accepted and then Dorothy showed up and ruined everything. Or well, Glinda ruined her happiness before it even started and then Dorothy just revealed it. Or something like that. Basically, she was happy and not going to start shit with you and then it all went to hell, and now here they both are. And all of that resentment and anger is probably spilling over because what is keeping these feelings in check?

“But you're right. Turnabout is fair play.”

And with a wave of her hand and the obligatory green smoke, she's gone. Three guesses where she went Regina, and the first two don't count.

Regina is fully prepared to scoff at Zelena's little outburst, because if anybody can understand wanting to get out, it's her. Except, then Zelena goes and does her thing and Regina is all but blinded by the seething resentment and rage flooding her system. It's the first day and she already can't deal with it, who knows how long it'll be?

"No--"

She attempts to stop Zelena from teleporting, but one thing she's noticed about her sister is that her reflexes are as good as hers. She doesn't have a chance in hell of stopping her. She follows in her telltale purple smoke, intent on at least preventing her from entering the room. Except, when she gets there, Zelena is already in the room.

"Oh no."

At first Zelena's confused, but thrilled. There's the array, the ingredients, there she is about to succeed, but why...why is Regina remembering this? Hell, she hasn't even noticed Regina being in the same room because she's so absorbed in what's going on. After all, it's her moment of victory, the culmination of a lifetime's worth of work, so why shouldn't she be focused on it?

And then it all goes wrong. She's not stupid. She can figure out what's going on here even with the memory of her...or the future her getting ragdolled by some invisible thing. That fool Robin grabbing the heart. And worst of all her pendant being ripped away. The source of all her magic. So that means they were right. She lost.

A very weak “no” is about all she manages to say right now as things begin to repeat again.

So congratulations Regina, she finally believes you now. She's just too stunned to actually say anything else about it at the moment.

Regina wanted her sister to give up, to accept the truth and move on. She offered her a second chance in Storybrooke and she meant it, but this? This is not how it was meant to happen. This is the last thing Regina wanted, because for all the bad blood between them, she knows Zelena is incredibly powerful. She actually managed to cast a time travel spell, something no person has ever done before. Now that she knows the exact details of her future, she knows what to prevent.

Taking away her pendant again will only delay the inevitable.

"Now do you believe us?"

Hardly the best thing to say, given what Zelena just found out and the already volatile nature of their relationship. Nevermind that she can feel the despair through their emotional connection, let's poke at the raw wound some more.
wickedwest: (This One Not So Much)

Oh yeah, there's definitely despair here. And even more despair when Regina goes and opens her mouth. Normally this would be the part where Zelena would give some snide remark or continue to call bullshit on those stories, but it's sort of hard to do that now that she's seen it. After all, as they say, seeing is believing, and all that.

The only question is, now that she's seen it, where does she go from here? And in addition to that despair, there's a ton of uncertainty because for the first time in probably years, she doesn't know. Does she just give up? She could. It's a thought that's become more and more prevalent ever since Mary Margaret left, and being faced with this, and knowing this happens now...it'd make it all the more easier to do so.

But given that she's spent years becoming this person and preparing for succeeding, it's not exactly an easy path to abandon. After all, when you've dedicated your life to erasing your little sister from history by stealing body parts and babies and stuff, how can you just walk away from that? So she's not really sure about anything at all right now.

Other than the fact that coming into this room was a mistake. So she'll fix that. That's at least something she can do right now. So she'll just poof out of here again, but not back to her room. She already didn't want her memories on display, and now she wants them even less. So she'll just go look for somewhere else to try and sort out her thoughts and feelings and try to figure out how to move forward from here.

So for however long this lasts, her empathy partner can expect varying degrees of anger, which was about a given, but also uncertainty and despair. Because honestly? She really wishes everyone had been lying to her as part of some ridiculous nonsensical conspiracy. Because once again the truth has pretty much completely destroyed her life.
