"I'm quite sentimental under the right circumstances and with the right demon." No need to ask who makes her sentimental out of any of them. There's only one smarmy demon that could ever qualify. "Ruby served her purpose, but she was never a figure in my circle or allegiance." That had been the point, after all. Someone who she knew was loyal, but did not outwardly show it. Someone not in her employ.

"I don't need to kiss your ass, Meg. My expressions of admiration are due to skill alone. It's not as though it's gaining me anything. I make my own way."

"Don't remind me," Meg fires back, pulling a disgusted face. True, her and Crowley aren't chasing each other down the halls of the mansions with angel blades, but she doesn't want to hear about ... that.

"Admiration, huh? Word on the street is you almost tricked your way out of the deal and got free all on your own." It's an abrupt and purposeful subject change, spoken like a casual observation, all trace of previous vitriol absent from her voice. Also absent, curiously enough, is any tone of accusation. At this point, she's more curious than incensed. Two sides to every story, and all that.

"That I did." Lilith said with a small shrug, thinking back to that night. Sam had thought he could play her, luring her to the bed and trying to kill her. It was child's play, just as ridiculous as his devil's trap. But she still had allowed him the chance to accept the deal.

"Lucifer's end game didn't coincide with my own. But, there is no getting out of a bargain with him." She knows Meg followed Lucifer, that she loved him in a way that Lilith used to. "Dying for Lucifer wasn't going to get me what I wanted anyway."

"I would imagine not," she answered in a frosty tone with a roll of her eyes. Thank you, captain obvious. Her next question comes with a tone that betrays some curiosity, though. "What made you change your mind?"

"With the deal or Lucifer himself?" She asked, because the answer was different, of course.

That gave her pause, but Meg shrugged a moment later and pulled out a cigarette to light. "I dunno. Both. Either." Hell, the bitch liked possessing kids enough. Maybe she was into show and tell, too.

"I didn't want to miss the apocalypse. It was my masterpiece and letting Lucifer out would ruin it. We couldn't just enjoy the chaos, we would see it end before it began because he would destroy everything." She shrugged. "And here, I learned that we don't matter to Lucifer. Whatever he might have said to us, he views us as pawns, disgusting pawns. I feel no loyalty for a man that will serve me nothing but lies."
