Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

[ Oh. Oh no. Ooooooh nopenopenopenope.

Yeah, he's done a very good job at not masking who he is and she's been around long enough that it doesn't take long for the pieces to fall into place. This... wasn't good. She doesn't attempt to fake that she didn't recognize him for what he was, knowing her face had probably already betrayed her. Downside of sucking at poker. ]

Or not. Thought you were someone else, someone who likes tea and actually belongs on this side.

[ She knows pretty much nothing about Bruce's mirror, so maybe it's not best to rescind the sort of invitation she'd extended. Too late now. ]

[ There's only a handful of people who could really fool Bruce, actually, and even if Darcy were to try, she'd fail completely. His look is more of curiosity than anything, though— he never has much interest in the Real versions of strong, cold Mirrors, because they're often weaker in a lot of ways, but the rare times he gets to see the opposite with his own two eyes, it's hard not to show his clear interest.

Also, he doesn't bother trying to hide it. Darcy's Mirror version is a poor excuse of an existence, he has to wonder how much more entertaining the Real version must be. ]

Oh, that's your mistake. [ He's amused when he says that, scornful, mocking. ] You see, he doesn't belong anywhere. He never has.

[ She's way too confident to even pretend to be a mouse. Between that and being a crappy liar to begin with? Yeah, no. Why bother wasting time and possibly putting herself in a worse position? Besides, this wasn't exactly a conversation she wanted to send down the wrong path.

A hand moves to rest on her hip, head cocking slightly to the side. Good, he was mocking her. This was nice. Bonding. ]

I'm not gonna debate someone's worth or value when the one I'm arguing with was literally created by a psycho queen who has a thing for life-size barbies on crack. [ Darcy, no. ]

[dystonia]

[ Well he sure sees it as bonding, at least. As much bonding as Bruce's capable of, anyway. In truth he's just having some fun— he doesn't even think that Darcy will prove particularly useful to him, so there's really nothing else he wants from her.

Aside from getting on her nerves a little, possibly. He's not planning on hurting her either, although he's not exactly known for his mild temper and patient predisposition.

Her description of Mirrors amuses him immensely, actually, and he laughs. ] Oh, you're funnier than the other one. [ Pointing a finger at her. ] I like you.

Thanks, I'll be here all week with shows at 7 and 10. Hopefully you won't, though, because-- [ No point in not being brutally honest with him. Although maybe she should lie because her brutal honesty was starting to earn a fan club. Bonus that her mirror still wasn't leaving much of an impression on people, so it seemed to make them curious about the real.

Been on the other side, had already dealt with them trying to keep her - wasn't interested in repeating that particular experience anytime soon. ] -- spoiler alert - I don't like you.

[ Can you feel the love? Can you? ]

[ Oh no, she absolutely should not lie. If there's one thing Bruce shares with his Real counterpart is that he very much appreciates honesty and a straightforward answer, and when it comes with bite and sass rather than fear or cowardice, it's all the better.

And it's evident that the fact that she doesn't like him is neither a surprise nor a deterrent to him. His smile stays in place, of course, if possible even more amused now. ]

But that just makes things better. More interesting. What sort of boring pocket universe would we live in if we all liked each other? [ A pause, ] Don't worry, Darcy. I'm not interested in holding hands and frolicking through the fields with you.

[ She's a crappy liar, anyways.

And wow, ok, the only way she's gonna get rid of him is probably by leaving the situation... But she also has no interest in turning her back on him. Sure, they were downright chummy at the moment, but chumminess didn't earn trust. ]

Well, that's a relief because my frolicking shoes are on another floor. [ A beat. ] Interesting's a choice description of -- [ /insert little gesture of her hands ] -- this. Although, I'm not sure I can actually think of a better one. Lemme come back to that. And I can't believe I'm actually saying this but, you're right. If everyone got along the world would be very boring. Boring can be good, though.

[ Is this real life? Is she actually managing to carry on a conversation with one of the Avenger's mirrors without dying? ]

[ There's absolutely no trust here, nor there should be. Bruce is at least honest with himself, and he wouldn't trust himself either. If she did, he'd have to consider her very stupid, and he is kind of liking that she sounds and looks the opposite. She still looks like she could do something stupid, but... well, maybe not as stupid as Fitz. ]

I'd like to see you say that if you had nothing to do but stare through a mirror. [ Well, okay, 'nothing' is an exaggeration, but it is how a lot of Mirrors keep themselves entertained. It's one of Bruce's favorite pastimes, for sure. But even that gets boring sometimes. ]

[ Welp. He's not wrong with any of that. She could definitely do something still do something stupid, but she's trying really hard not to. Something she'll be grateful for down the road if she succeeds. ]

I'll give you that one. It can't be just that, though? Right? Something more than playing the stalking game? I mean, we've got to be the most ho-hum soap opera on this side. [ She's gonna call it right here and now. Call it a curiosity and the only time she'll probably be able to ask a mirror this bluntly without them killing her. ]

Oh, don't get me wrong. Things here are pretty boring most of the time too. But at least you get those events. Things get a little more interesting then.

[ More importantly, though, he likes gathering information about this side. The people here. Of course there's nothing like being able to cross over and do some actual digging around, but any other time, he'll take what he can get. ]

The events aren't all they're cracked up to be. They can get pretty gruesome or go in a totally different direction and turn half the mansion into animals.

[ Darcy's a fount of knowledge on all things real-side and she'd never really been good at staying quiet. He wasn't hurting anyone right now... Of course, her opinion of him would change once she found the present in the lab. ]
