Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.

The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.

Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

Ah!!

[Yep, Connie definitely didn't see that coming- Amethyst successfully pounces on her, and knocks her into the sand, still laughing.]

Hey, come on!! That's cheating!

[brainmeme]

[The wildcat grins at Connie, then starts cleaning its face with a paw, other paw still firmly pinning Connie to the ground.]

Take it up with the ref.

[What was she chasing Connie for? Oh, right. Ocean dunking time.

Instead of just lifting her up, though, Amethyst steps off of her and kneels down.]

Hop on?

...Hehe. Alright!

[That sounds way better than just getting tossed into the water, at least, as Connie gets back up, and jumps onto the purple wildcat.]

Onward, mighty steed!

[brainmeme]

[Amethyst rears back with a mighty roar in a wildcat imitation of a horse, careful not to knock off Connie.

Then she just charges headfirst into the water, laughing. Once she's far enough in, she transforms back into normal Amethyst, who laughs until she gets water in her mouth and sputters and laughs some more.]

[Connie is laughing right alongside her, as they both go splashing into the water. Her clothes might be soaked now, but she's having too much fun to really care, just treading water a bit! And maybe splashing Amethyst a bit.

...Gems don't need to breath, right? Yeah, Amethyst is probably fine.]

Hey!

[Amethyst splashes back, more feverishly. Uneven retribution! She is interrupted when a wave comes and pushes her back to shore, where she sits in the damp sand, grinning. The tide almost drags her back in, though, and she falls over onto her back.

Now, finally done being pushed and pulled around, she sighs and looks up at the sky.]

This event's not so bad, I guess. [It's mostly said to herself, though Connie can hear it.]

Wh-whoa!!

[Riding the wave back to shore is kinda fun! And a little scary, when it threatens to pull her right back into the ocean, scrambling away from shore.

There's a little more laughter, as Connie notices Amethyst just laying down now- and decides she might as well lay down right by her.]

Yeah. I'm having a pretty good time here, really. There's a lot to see, and do... It's kind of like a vacation!

It's not always fun like this. It's a good thing you're super tough now, 'cause this place can get really dangerous.

[Dangerous is the least of Amethyst's usual worries, though.]

Sometimes this place will mess with your emotions, or... bring back people you thought were gone forever. It can be really... weird.

Whoa, really? I thought this was... just some kind of... party place?

[Connie shrugs a bit. Some kind of party, with some kind of magic destiny stuff too, if she's lucky.]

You make it sound like you've been here a while...

[That other girl she talked to in the library said about the same thing, but... that wasn't someone that Connie actually knew. It had seemed a bit more... distant, then.]

Am I... stuck here now, or something?

[brainmeme]

[Amethyst looks up at Connie, a little guilty that she's bringing her down now.]

I dunno. Maybe not. Maybe everyone that came here for all these parties is going to go back home and forget all this.

Uh... Don't worry too much about it. We don't know 'til the event's over, right? I bet you're just gonna go to a bunch of parties and have fun and that'll be the end of that.

I'm just going to forget it??

[Connie leans up a bit at that, looking pretty shocked, before just groaning and letting herself plop back down onto the sand.]

What's even the point of trying to have fun then, if none of it is going to matter?

What else are you gonna do? Sit around and not have any fun, just 'cause you won't remember?

[Amethyst shrugs in the sand.]

If you spend all your time worrying about what happens tomorrow, your "now" will get all messed up.
