+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: GENERAL NON-PARTY MINGLE POST +
Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: Everywhere that isn't one of the parties! Both Sides!
When: Sept 1st to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Wonderful parties are springing up all across Wonderland, but there are still plenty of other places to explore. This is a log for any new arrivals who want to experience different parts of Wonderland life, and any current guests not in the mood for a log or transmission of their own.
Please also see THE FOURTH WALL MASTER POST for rules, information, and all the fun parties you can visit!
The Story:

On the morning of September 1st, everyone in Wonderland, on both Real and Mirror Side, will awake to find one of four possible invitations has been shoved under their doors. The glass has been carefully removed from all mirrors, and everyone will be able to cross to and from Mirror Side with ease, without forcing any sort of swap. The Queen of Hearts' chambers, discovered in the previous event, will be mysteriously inaccessible, leading only to a tearoom.
Additionally, there will be many more Wonderland guests than usual, each of them with their own random invitation and network device (wired to make replies only). As the week goes on, as per the invitations, more and more parties will appear (and everyone is invited to all of them, whether they received an invitation or not). But who brought them here? Why are there so many parties? Who is responsible for all of this exactly?
It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...

It's anyone's guess, though if parties or riddles are not your style, then there is always plenty more to see...
yay! yay! yay!
hey. it'll...it'll be alright, okay? whatever happens here, you'll...you'll go home and go right back to him. you won't even remember any of this, or me. so it's...just hold onto that, i guess? that you'll go back to him. you'll see him again and he'll remember. okay?
[He's trying so hard. He can't just abandon Sunflower. He can't just...there's a version of himself, or a past or future version of himself, out there somewhere. A version that called Sunflower a brother. That's...he can't just abandon Sunflower. Brothers are too important.]
no subject
Boy, wouldn't that be a kick in the ass. If they forgot about him in turn. Like nothing ever happened. Like they never left the lab at all. But they're still trying to hold onto themselves. Trying to hold onto 'Sunflower'.
The winds might get too strong and the stems will break, the pedals snapping off. Then all that's left is the core.
They never had siblings before. Or maybe half of them did. But he left a long time ago. Too young to remember.]
i don't understand.
[Their voice is still so low and empty and they don't know how to process this.]
A memory is something that's consciously recalled, isn't it? It's different from a memory in your heart.
[Someone else's voice. A female voice. one the other Sans would know, but not this one. That's fine.]
thought i tagged this sorry broh
i know. it's...it's really complicated. but just, uh. keep reminding yourself that you'll see him. he'll be right there when you go back, okay?
[Or he himself will be right there when Sunflower goes back, because maybe it actually is him, and does it even matter at this point? Versions and variations. Either way, it's still Sans.]
[He frowns at the woman's voice that issues from Sunflower. That sounded like...recitation. Repeating something that Sunflower heard, not like it's something that Sunflower actually said.]
...memories are weird. [He'd make a pun about not having a heart, but that's. Wildly inappropriate.] some things are constant. some aren't.
I KEEP FORGETTING ABOUT THIS I 'M SO SORRY
It's on the tip of their tongue, a short, stuttering sound to indicate that they were about to ask the question, but stopped themselves short. No, it's... no. It's stupid to ask that. It's too needy, too whiny. Sans was barely staying as it was, kept here only because he felt like he had to. They were already making this so much worse than it needed to be.
So they just... nod slowly, try to convince themselves of that tiny, glimmering speck of hope. Without hope, what's left?]
i don't understand how this happened.
[Shaking. Repeating themselves. Don't break, don't fucking break and lose yourselves and attack him.]
how did i get here? what is this world?
ITS OKEEJ
yeah. i know. if it helps, uh. no one really understands how this happens. we all just sorta end up here.
[Shit, okay, he needs to be careful here.]
it's called wonderland. it's separate from other worlds. so...i guess if you know me, you know i come from the underground, right? and you, uh. i'm guessing you come from somewhere else. so, uh, however your sans ended up where you are...it's the same sort of thing here. this world just kinda snags people, right outta their worlds. and sometimes it grabs different versions of people, yeah?
so imagine, uh. okay. imagine you've got...a bunch of string or something. you cut the string into pieces, all the same length, and you line 'em up next to each other. now you've got four strings, separate from each other. but they came from the same origin point, the same, uh--the same original bit of string, right? the strings are the same, but they're separate. and, say you've got, uh, a really really tiny skeleton living on each string. he's technically the same skeleton--but there's four strings, so there's four of him. does that, uh...does that make any sense?
no subject
But this? Interdimensional travel and alternate selves and... memory issues with those selves is too much.]
are you trying to say there's one sans that... fragmented? or.
[Because that would be even worse than any kind of memory issues. If the original Sans just broke so violently he seperated into several bits across the universe.
And that's never a pleasant thing to deal with.]
i'm... i'm not following. i'm sorry.
[Just. Try to stay calm, don't freak out again. It's hard not to, the two of them not... being as close as they're used to.]
no subject
[He tries to just give Sunflower a reassuring grin.]
don't worry. i'm, uh, not great at explaining this stuff. just...just trust me when i say your sans will be right there when you go back.
no subject
One string, torn up into smaller strings. One Sans, pulled apart into multiple worlds?
Endless Cycles
The Manikins
Chaos Cosmos
Shinryu.
The memory strings and it's gone as soon as it comes. Something they're not supposed to know about. So they just continue on, try to calm down, try to... do something about this situation.]
what did you say earlier? about this world breaking?
[They'd been freaking out too much at the time to really pay attention.]
there's... something dangerous going around on ou-- my world. i want to make sure he's alright.
no subject
[Something dangerous, huh? Sans isn't really one to get involved in danger unless there's no other choice.]
well, uh. us sans-es, we tend to be a bit tougher than we look. i'm sure he'll be okay.
no subject
[Sort of. Things not being natural. Order being screwed up. It happens, and sometimes there's not much else you can do but ride it out. They're not supposed to be here, and...
They're not sure if they're supposed to be anywhere.]
i'm... just not sure how i'm supposed to get back at all. it just... times out, or something?
[Not sure what else to do but ask rhetoric questions. Not sure whether to bail and leave him alone and just... wander, or what.]
...there's been close calls. it's... complicated. i'm worried.
no subject
[Close calls. Yeah, complicated sounds like the right word for it. Sans can't imagine that him ending up in some completely foreign world would go over very well. At least not judging by people's reactions to him here.]
well, uh. take it from me. the worst that'll probably happen is he might get a bit...bonely without his friend?
TEN YEARS LATER
[They're trying, trying to force themselves to calm down, but it seems like with every new piece of information they learn, it just makes it so much worse. Sans is here, but isn't here. They're here, but time stops on their world and they'll just go back like nothing ever happened? What about the Sans back there? Is this all a dream? Is this even really happening?
They've been staring blankly for a long time now, just faintly shaking.
And they want to laugh at his joke, they want to be reassured everything's okay. Because it sounds like him, it really does. but it's not.
Sunny disposition.]
it's like you said. he'll be okay.
[That's not usually the proper response to a pun, fella.]
HELLO THAR
...yeah. he'll be okay. just...hold onto that. alright? he'll be okay. it's alright if you don't understand. you don't, uh, have to? just know that he'll be just fine.
