+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

the fact that damian thinks he would have done that also ticks him off a little, but he doesn't say anything to that extent; instead, jon reaches for damian's utility belt, tries to pull it off of him. ) Hand it over! That stupid batarang!
no subject
You took a deep breath like you did with those Ogres! What was I supposed to think-- Wha--! Stop that!
[He shoved a hand in the boy's face trying to push him away and slapped his hands away with the other. And of course, you can't just yank a bats belt off without consequence. But he never really tested his belt's security tazer on a Kryptonian before...]
If you don't try to attack me again I won't use it!
no subject
( damian's hands push his face away, which is fine, because he doesn't need his face to yank on his belt. the taser system works, obviously, but it's not nearly strong enough to do shit to jon.
maybe damian should anti-kryptonian his belt if he's going to keep shit in it that kryptonians aren't going to be happy with him having. ) How'm I supposed to trust you not to use it when you just did? ( he keeps yanking on it, pulling hard enough to hopefully dislodge it from damian's waist, without actually damaging him. )
no subject
How was I supposed to know you wouldn't!? We've only just met! And I only used it because you were attacking!
[Damian barked back at him, gritting his teeth when the pulling set off the tazer but Kent kept yanking it making it dig into him until it ripped free.]
Listen to me! What if something happens and you turn! You say you won't hurt anyone, and I want to think you really won't, but it's naive to think that, especially in this place! [He glared at him, clenching his fist at his side.]
no subject
You can have it back when you stop acting like a jerk. ( so, never. ) Would you let someone have something like this if it effected you? ( it's probably not a fair comparison; jon is, when his abilities are working, near indestructible, stronger than any human, faster. ) I'll find an adult to give it to for now.
no subject
Who? The only two adults here that you know are teenagers and are as allergic to green rocks as you are. More so if they aren't half human like you.
[He thought to tell him to give it to Drake, but he wasn't sure if this Drake's common sense out weighed his loyalty to the Kryptonian that claimed they were friends. Whatever, he had a clear image of it in his head, maybe he can get another one from the closets... If Kent was going to go blabbing to the other Kryptonians that Damian had brought their possible destruction into this world, he was probably going to need all he could get.]
no subject
it still doesn't compare to kryptonite though. but damian was raised different; who knows the kinda stuff he was put through. ) I'll think about it.
( in the meantime, he slips the pouch into his jeans' back pocket. what's damian gonna do, take it from him? )
no subject
Possibly to form plans for the general destruction of whatever planet you're on and the genocide of all its residents... or exchange pie recipes. Regardless! For a species that is supposed to be practically extinct, 3 in one place was far too many for Damian.
His eyes followed where Jon put the pouch, then moved back to Jon's face, his mask concealing the movement. He could probably snatch it without Jon noticing... but not right now. The boy was too self-aware at the moment, but it was still good to keep tabs on it in case the closets failed to produce.
In fact, maybe it was wise to lay some ground work for a contingency.]
...Look, it comes down to this. You can't trust me with it and I can't trust you without it. So I'll strike you a deal Super Boy.
[He paused to see if he was grabbing Kent's interest.]
no subject
and it's stupid, that damian doesn't trust him. what is jon going to do--use his superpowers for evil and take over wonderland? he doesn't want to hurt anyone, and while self control is still something he's learning, he is learning it. he presses his lips together, considers how he'd feel if he was in damian's shoes: human, facing a half alien with enough strength to rip him in two if said alien really wanted to. )
What kind of deal? ( still stupid, but fine, whatever. he doesn't have to go for damian's deal anyway, if he doesn't want to. )
no subject
He pressed his hands in front of him and took a breath, before schooling his face to come off as less threatening. It probably looked as painful as it felt right now.]
The issue is trust. So I propose a trust building. You don't go running to the other Kryptonian with the Kryptonite and I'll... [Shoot... what can he offer? What would he even have the Kent could want? He already had everything. The strength. The family that loved him. The overall likable personality. Taller!
...Stupid Kent. Was letting him have Kryptonite as a defense really that bad--Stop, this is getting off track.]
I don't know... [He dropped the look in his mild frustration.] What would you like from me? [Kent came to his aid so there must be something?]
no subject
but he doesn't need to go to kara with it, does he? yes, she's the only adult adult he knows and thinks he can trust, even if she doesn't quite remember him. jon isn't quite sure why damian is so worried about them finding out he brought it here, but. )
We're a team. And you have to stop being so mean. ( which was part of his condition for giving it back to damian, but that's irrelevant. damian can stop being mean and still be a jerk, and jon really doubts he's going to unlearn being a jerk any time soon. )
no subject
He resisted the urge to cringe when Kent called them a team again and settled for just looking away.]
Tt... and what constitutes as "mean" to you? Because you seem to have a low tolerance for certain touches of sarcasm.
no subject
You're fine as you usually are. There's no point in it if you have to change who you are, is there? Just don't be a jerk about it.
( not all of us were raised by a league of assassins and treated like an adult since we were old enough to walk and talk. jon understands that damian's parents' were a lot different than his, and damian is. . used to a different standard of mannerisms than he is. )
no subject
But Damian wasn't normal and to believe he ever would be was a naive dream. So when Kent said this, it actually made Damian lower his arms and slowly turn his gaze back towards Jon. His expression though still looked guarded.]
I need an example. 'Don't be a jerk" is frustratingly vague.
no subject
( that's pretty self-explanatory, isn't it. he isn't quite sure how else to explain being a jerk--so hopefully, that's. enough. but they've been standing out here in ogre land for far long enough, so he turns to continue walking back towards the castle. it's a little stupid, walking at a normal person's pace when he could just speed his way back, but damian obviously did not want damian to carry him back, and he's not going to speed off without him.
even if damian did just almost kill him. ) You hungry? I could go for hot pockets about now.
no subject
We'll see. [He said as he continued walking then frowned a bit.]
What's a "Hot Pocket"? I have explosives in my belt, but I don't recommend eating them.
[Though Kent was half alien. Maybe this was some sort of strange craving.]
no subject
( see, he knew damian grew up in some strange and foreign world, but one without hot pockets? jon tilts his head back to look towards him, brows raised in.
shock, definitely shock. )
They're uh. . bread stuff on the outside and stuff on the inside, but the bready stuff covers the outside so the stuff inside doesn't fall out. There's pizza flavored ones, and meatball flavored ones, and barbecue. .
no subject
It sounds... [He looked thoughtful. Grayson did always recommend thinking before speaking and he was trying to get Kent to lower his guard.] ...like something that would serve better being seen than explained.
[It was the nicest way he could think of to say besides 'Your description sucks and is inefficient Kent!' See? He was trying.] The dining hall has a fest going on currently.
no subject
( if it's anything related to these ogres and the castle theme, he doubts it's going to have hot pockets. which would be a real shame, really. hot pockets are the best.
but that kind of response from damian is new. even if it's not entirely obvious how hard he's trying, jon does realize that. under normal circumstances, damian probably would have worded that entirely different. )
no subject
[Damian wasn't aware of many vegetarian options in medieval cuisine either. He shrugged.]
You can try or we can just go to the kitchen.
no subject
( since he's 100% sure hot pockets didn't exist that far back. there weren't good freezers back then or anything, so. jon reaches a hand back, offers it to damian. )
You sure you don't want a ride? We'll get there a lot faster.
no subject
....
.....
......
....... The ground shook more intensely as the creatures drew near.
........
.........
..........Fine, dying was more of a pain in the ass than humiliation. With a grumpy click of his tongue he planted his hand in Jon's as his silent permission.]
no subject
super speed isn't a joke, and the last thing he wants to do is drop someone while he's going as fast as he can. ) You might want to close your eyes. Velocity, and stuff. ( which is all the warning he gives damian before he's taking off as fast as he can back towards the castle, stopping only once he reaches the kitchen.
in approximately two seconds, as opposed to the several moments they would have taken if they'd just walked. )
no subject
He felt his stomach give a little lurch when they came to an abrupt stop in the kitchen. He jumped down and noted the kitchen looked different once again since the last time he'd been here but it was still expensive with lots of counters, some seats, cupboards and a few freezers lining the back wall.]
So where are these "Hot pockets" normally stored?
no subject
Freezers. I found them! ( the hand holding the box raises to wave it towards damian for a moment, before he's dropping it down to rip it open and make his way to the microwave. ) These're pepperoni pizza flavored. Is that okay? I can keep looking if you don't like pizza, but it'd be really weird if you didn't. ( jon doesn't wait for his answer to start digging into the box to pull out one of them anyway, teeth digging into the plastic to rip it open so he can microwave it. )
