Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:

The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.

In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.

There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.

But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.

(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)

[Food is so overrated. Whatever was on the table was just way too much. How could all of these people eat it all? What a waste. None of it looked really good either. But that was Mirror Minato's least concern.

So there was someone over there that he had recognized. Souji dropped something on the ground, and while he was debating what to do about it, the Mirror helped by smoothly moving over there and kicking the bit of food away and out of reach.]

... Please don't do things like that to yourself. I wouldn't want you to suffer, after all.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji blinks and looks up from Minato's foot to his face. For a second, he isn't sure which Minato it is, but the way he speaks is a clue. Souji's met the Mirror before, though he knows he can't expect him to be the same.]

Thanks.

[Souji rests a hand on his hip in his normal stance.]

Do you like it over here?

[panatipata]

Don't I always live on this side? Of course I like it. I live here with you, but you don't remember. Or do you?

[Minato smiled again, and brushed some of his bangs from out of his eye, but his hair fell back in place. Always.]

"You're late for your session." We can continue it on now, if you'd like, now that we have so much time to spend together.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji's expression tightens. The Mirror is not the same as he used to be--at least in some ways.]

...I'd rather not talk about that.

[panatipata]

How come? A little too traumatic for you?

[Minato tilted his head to the left and then to the right, stretching out the muscles there. He had been cooped up in his cocoon for a little too long.]

Isn't that when you're supposed to talk to people about it?

[Unless Souji wasn't as smart as Minato had given him credit for. Too bad.]

[eatsyourscience]

Not to people who want to hear it for the wrong reasons.

[panatipata]

But you don't even know what reasons I have.

[Minato frowned a bit at that. So what if he wanted to hear about it?]

...Are you going to tell me?

[panatipata]

I like knowing that you're not invincible, even if you're toting around a god inside of you.

[eatsyourscience]

I've never been invincible.

...And I've never thought I was, either.

[panatipata]

Then you aren't denying that that's what you have inside of you.

[Figures.]

Aren't you still being a little arrogant?

[eatsyourscience]

...Everyone's a little arrogant.

[Souji crosses his arms.]

I don't know if Izanagi is really a god or not.

[panatipata]

Tsh.

[Now all Souji was trying to do was not be so arrogant. But Minato had to relent.]

If he were, then all of that wouldn't have happened to you, don't you think?

[eatsyourscience]

...I don't know. I don't know if she gave me that Persona or if I always had him.

[panatipata]

Either way, I still think that even if you have him, he should know better than to let stupid things happen to you. Unless he really doesn't care, which for the most part? It seems like it.

[Maybe that's why Souji's been stuck here for three years or so already. And had things happen to him.]

[eatsyourscience]

You should know that isn't how Personas work.

[panatipata]

But is that how a god works?

[eatsyourscience]

...What makes you so sure he's the real thing?

[panatipata]

I don't know if he is, so I'm only speculating and questioning it.

You really have this way of avoiding any and all conversation about yourself.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji rubs the back of his neck, looking off to the side.]

Is that bad?

[panatipata]

Not all the time, just when the conversation is about you. Don't think I don't know what you're doing.

[eatsyourscience]

[Of course he knew. He understood the real Minato after all.]

What do you want me to call you?

[panatipata]

Me?

[Minato wondered why anyone had to ask him that. That was the second or so time that someone had asked him. He could say anything he desired about what he wanted to be called, but whether someone went along with it was not up to him.]

Do we really have to distinguish ourselves by name? Lots of people have the same name, but it's who they are apart from that name that leaves a mark on the world.

... But you wouldn't have any particular objections with calling me 'Minato,' would you?

[eatsyourscience]

No.

[Souji pauses, thinking.]

...How else would we distinguish ourselves?

[panatipata]

[Minato uselessly brushed his bangs away from his eyes.]

You would know me for me, no matter who I looked like or what name I had you call me, wouldn't you?

Even if you called me by my name, you would know that I'm not that one on the other side too.
