Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:

The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.

In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.

There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.

But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.

(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)

He's my senpai. We never met at home, but I knew him really well here.

[Now Ryoji was even more confused. His eyebrows knitted to show that.]

Where's here? And you knew him here? How long has it been?

[eatsyourscience]

This is Wonderland. People end up here sometimes and eventually they leave again. He was here when I got here and he left some time ago. [Souji knows this is confusing and isn't sure he's actually clarifying anything at all.] Recently, he got back, but doesn't remember anything.

[kalakiriya]

[Confused can't even describe how Ryoji feels right now. But it was what it was. He nodded. Souji knew a lot for someone Ryoji hadn't even met until just now.]

But why are we here and how did we get here? I don't remember Minato-kun leaving home at any point.

[eatsyourscience]

You wouldn't have noticed. [And besides, Ryoji was already gone when that happened.] And he wouldn't remember being here when he got back.

[He gave his head a small shake.] ...Let's enjoy the party instead of worry about that.

[kalakiriya]

Sure! I can be okay with that. I'll go see Minato-kun later if he's really here. But since I already know him, that's what later is for! Now is the present, and I should be learning more about you.

[Ryoji smiled, and eyed the food over at the table instead of any of the ladies around.]

Did you make any of that? What's good?

[eatsyourscience]

I didn't make any, but I cook a lot. [Souji smiles a little and moves closer to the food.] The cookies here are pretty good, though.

[kalakiriya]

You cook? What kind of things can you cook?

[Ryoji peered to look at the cookies too, also fascinated with those. There was so much food though! It was going to go to waste. He picked one up and examined it.]

[eatsyourscience]

Mostly Japanese foods, I guess. Why?

[kalakiriya]

Oh! Because I don't really know how to do any of that. You know, there's this saying that you have a certain charm about you if you know how to cook. Like it draws people to you.

[Ryoji downed that cookie. Not bad.]

But you have this way of drawing people to you anyway, don't you?

[eatsyourscience]

I'm not the only one.

[kalakiriya]

Eh? But you're the only one I see here now, so it has to be you.

[Ryoji smiled, looking over Souji again.]

Hm, there really is something about you that I can't quite put my finger on, but I don't think I ever will. Do you get that a lot, Souji-kun?

[eatsyourscience]

I've heard it a few times.

[But more importantly...]

Tell me about where you come from.

[kalakiriya]

[Then Ryoji wasn't that far off. His instincts were still working then.]

Where I come from? I think you'll have to be a little more specific than that, Souji-kun.

... I can tell you about darkness and separation, warmth and coldness, transitory peace and false serenity. I come from all of that.

[eatsyourscience]

Tell me about Iwatodai.

[kalakiriya]

[Ryoji tilted his head in thought.]

It's the place where I was born. It's changed a lot in the past ten years or so.

I like it, actually! A lot happened there, but it's a place I'd go back to if I could! I made friends there and found out who I really was.

Oh! And the food is good! There's a sweet shop at Iwatodai Station that I like. But that's probably not something you wanted to hear when there are more important things I could be talking about.

[eatsyourscience]

The sweet shop near the ramen place? I saw it once.

[Souji smiles and shakes his head.]

Your experience is important. You're one of my senpai, too.

[kalakiriya]

I still don't quite understand any of this, although I'm not saying that I don't like it.

Anyone would be happy to have you as a kouhai, but I'm not quite sure how exactly I could be anyone's senpai.

[It wasn't entirely clear to Ryoji how he, Souji, and Minato were connected.]

SEES and what happened in Iwatodai came before me and my friends in Inaba. We're like they are.

[kalakiriya]

[Ryoji tilted his head again in thought.]

It started all over? But how is that...

[Ryoji shook his head. Of course it did or else Souji wouldn't be telling him about it. He had on his hand on his chest again.]

... If you're here like this, without imparting any other information about it, then it must have turned out well.

[eatsyourscience]

It did. All of you made sure we were able to do it.

[kalakiriya]

You're awfully kind to say that, Souji-kun, when you weren't there to see what actually occurred.

[But was that really here or there?]

Everyone else had made it possible. I was selfish, and I got what I wanted too.

Minato's told me about it. I don't think you did anything wrong.

[kalakiriya]

Automatically I would say that the fault lies with that of humanity itself, but that is a broad and unfair generalization.

[Ryoji wasn't going to win this fight though.]

You went on a journey, didn't you? All Fools do that.

[Souji nods.] Yeah. A lot happened along the way.
