"We should," Robin nods, pulling his hand back after a moment and casting one last glance at his son before leading Henry out of the room.

Once they're out in the hall, it's only a few steps to Regina's room, but Robin pauses a moment. "It's strange, feeling each other's emotions like this."

Robin's been given a good memory here, and he's thankful for that. But he'd wish the same for everyone, and that appears not to be the case for his friend this time around. It seems quite unfair, to deny him even a temporary bit of happiness, but then again, he imagines much of Neal's childhood wasn't terribly pleasant, at least not when his father became the Dark One. And his life after that certainly involved many trials and tribulations.

"What's the memory, if you don't mind my asking?"

"I suppose because I don't tend to think of being here as a good thing. Although it's been kind on occasion."

And he had to admit that being able to actually just be here with Regina, live with her, and get to know Henry, certainly had its perks. But there was quite a bit he didn't like, and often the events were unkind to him and the people he cared about. This event, though, was a rare kindness.

"And I've met many good people. Friends," he smiled softly at her.

"Who hasn't?"

So, spouting jabs about both their dark pasts probably isn't the best idea, but the spiral she can see coming on is something to be avoided. It's the same one she experienced quite often when she still wasn't sure if she could actually change, or if it was all one big joke at her expense until the day came that she finally paid for her sins. If she can pull him out of it before it begins, it'll be worth it.

(When did she become the sponsor? Not that she's complaining.)

Her fingers play in the grass as she watches him; it's been a long, long time since she's been able to do something as simple as this. "I almost don't want to leave. My room got turned into a barn." Not to mention the display that's permanently on repeat, but there's no need to complicate things.

Sitting here like this, it's almost like nothing has happened. Like they both don't know what's coming for Robin, should Wonderland choose to send him home. It's been weighing on her ever since she told him, but now, at least, she can use that to help him. "It's not the same, but he's okay. He's safe. No matter what happens in Storybrooke, that much will always be true." She puts a hand on his arm to ground him, remind him that he's not alone in this.

"I know it won't stop you from worrying. We all know how much I worry about Henry and he's here. But I hope it makes things easier."

[Her face falls along with with his. She can't know what he's thinking, but she can guess-- and her own memories concerning the terror that single stake had managed to inspire were still as vivid as ever, running through her mind in a matter of mere moments as the silence overs over them.

He breaks it, and she manages a tiny smile in reply, tired but still genuine.]

That is often much easier said than done, brother.

[But she'll try.]

"Things are there. Most of the people are dead. If you're lucky, you find a good group or you're good enough to survive on your own."

He can ask whatever questions he wants, Michonne just shrugs a little. "It's a virus everyone has. When you die you don't stay dead. Not all of you."

"I'm more observant than you might think," she tells him plainly, though she hadn't been certain that the door belonged to him. She had seen him come and go from this hallway, knew his door was somewhere in the vicinity, but it was the combination of scent and the strange and sudden surge of instinct she'd felt that had made her more sure, made her feel compelled to stop.

As for why she was there, her own explanation didn't seem to be enough, even for her. The question was as much hers as it was his.

She feels something wash over her, equal parts perplexed and wistful, and she knows that longing and the underlying feeling of loss don't belong to her. She has yearned, and she has felt loss, but it's never been like this, never felt so strangely out of place.

She narrows her eyes at him, curious.

"You're experiencing emotions that aren't your own, are you not?"

[ Nice faux paus, Charlie. ]

Well, Wonderland isn't exactly a vacation any of us wanted. The downtime is great, but I dunno if it makes up for any of the terrible crap that happened. [ Murders and deaths and other horrible business. ] I've definitely learned to not take things for granted as much as I used to. Plus, I've got some itchy feet, you know? Stuck in one place for like... [ Her brow furrows as she thinks on her time there and she shakes her head. ] A year, wow. Time flies.

Charlie gives Beiste a grin. "Happy to hear there's no dangerous business going on. Not that I think you're into that sort of thing...you know what I mean." For the most part, Charlie assumes most folks around the mansion are pretty normal without the scary skeletons in their closets.

Charlie peeks into the room before entering, glancing around with interest. "Hey, I wouldn't call this boring, trust me. First time I've been in a boys locker room!" Which has her turning to look over at Beiste, head tilted in curiosity. "Are you a teacher or something at a school?"

"Football coach. And I teach gym, sometimes." Well, taught, more like. But somehow the past tense of it-- of all of it --isn't getting to her like it normally would. She's just feeling so bubbly.

The memory cycles back to the beginning. The boys are sitting with rapt attention, eyes focused on the spot where Beiste should be. After a few seconds, they let out a riotous YEAH!, and Beiste laughs, realizing she should explain.

"It's halftime. I'm giving a speech. I mean, I'm not right now. But I was, when this happened."

Henry has to agree, and he thinks on it, thinking about what he's feeling and what it means. For him, it mostly means wanting to be there more for Robin. He's not Roland, but maybe he can help.

"I think mine are mostly confusing." He says it almost apologetically, because at least Robin's emotions are straight forward.

Charlie turns to see the boys appear before looking back at Beiste.

"That's pretty awesome." What can she say, a lady coach is definitely someone she can be impressed with. Wrangling a bunch of teenage boys is no easy task. "That's what I was feeling! I wanted to go give like this rousing speech to make everyone all inspired to do something. Not that I know what I'd ask them to do, but I was super pumped."

Charlie smiles as the boys trail out of the locker room.

"Did you guys win?"

The moment that question is asked, it's as if all the air's been sucked out of Castiel. His shoulders slump, his head bows, but as much as he wishes it weren't the case, this is the state of things. It may be for the best that Sam knows, so that he doesn't take any sudden mood swings to heart.

"Crowley," he says with the most long-suffering sigh he can muster. "Demons are a maelstrom of feelings, it turns out." Not that he's that surprised by that revelation. They were once human, after all.

If Sam hadn't picked up on his misplaced feelings, then perhaps he's been paired off with someone less moody. Which is something Castiel can be glad for -- Sam deserves a break.

"Is right and wrong not determined by the consensus of the majority? In the eyes of the majority, you were not in the wrong." But that crooked smile unintentionally brings up fond memories and his eyes wander to Thad and Luke. "However... think nothing of it. It is in the past." Loki's way of saying he forgives him. Honestly, Loki has come a long way since Thor's arrival in Wonderland.

“You think so?” As much of a hell as Neverland had been, what Pan and Hook put him through had prepared him to take on the modern world. Maybe not in terms of technology or whatever, but it had given him practical lessons, the sense to survive because advancements or not, certain things don’t change. How to sneak into places, how to con someone, how to find gaps in people’s walls. Maybe it’s not the skillset he should be proudest of, but Neal had been pretty good at it regardless.

And yeah, if anyone could make it he thinks Henry could. The kid’s got a lot of ideals, but he’s also smart. Takes after his parents in that way.

But this isn’t just about Neal, and nostalgia gets trades in for dad mode when the kid starts talking about what’s going on in his room. No details, at least not yet, but Neal knows enough to get what he means when he talks about altered memories. “Hey, it’s real to you, right? Even if you didn’t go through it, it’s something you got to share with your moms—both of them.” Maybe in some twisted way that makes it better.

She just smirks at that, unrepentant in her agreement that the girl has been spared much of her father’s appearance. Of course the girl could still master Klaus’ crooked grin, and heaven help anyone who comes across her if she does. Never mind the fact that her parents are hybrids, her family the Original vampires: that smile on this little face could topple armies.

But those powerful connections make Klaus’ next assertion a given, although there is a truth in them that Cami hasn’t fully realized until that moment. Her first conversation with Kol he’d pointed out her advisor, named him as a witch and warned her to be wary. That had been enough to make the boy, then going by Kaleb, suspect. But now that she knows the truth, her smile fades, and she lets out a sigh as she puts it together. “My advisor. That’s Finn, isn’t it?”

There really had been some truth woven in all the lies.

But Klaus’s mind drifts to a different place; she can practically see the wheels turning in his head, an endless and useless motion given their predicament. “She is safe, Klaus. And you, Hayley, Rebekah, Elijah—all of you will do what you have to in order to keep her that way.”

Of that, Cami has no doubt. The trouble lies in just what falls under that vague heading of what must be done, particularly when defined by an ancient family of vampires.

“Nah, I don’t mind.” And contrary to Robin’s belief, Neal’s concern had been for his friend rather than himself. But he’s right to think that the good in Neal’s life had been limited growing up. There had been times he’d been happy, sure. He’d had homes, families along the way, all of them seeming to last just long enough for him to ache after they were gone.

Still, he grins as he thinks back on the scene replaying in his room. Even though it hadn’t ended well, it’s one of the few pure times he’s experienced. Something not tainted by someone’s longing for power or revenge.

“Back when I left the Enchanted Forest, I ended up in London a few hundred years ago.” He gives Robin a second to let that sink in, just in case he hadn’t already made the connection. “First few months of it were really hard; I was living on the streets, begging and stealing for what I could. I ended up sneaking into this one home, and I got caught. They didn’t kick me out though, or send me to a work house. They accepted me into their family. After what happened with my dad, it was the first time I’d had a home.”

Yeah. It was supposed to be a punishment, but the real punishment would be the curse breaking all over again.

[That, he doesn't know if he can deal with right now. He's seen enough of Angelus to last him another century.

He goes quiet when she asks about Connor, a frown pulling at his lips as he looks back to his son.]

Every day. [And in some respects, he feels like it might be better, like this could be a real second chance for them-- but Connor had a better life now than any Angel had ever been able to offer him on his own.] It's selfish, but I wish he would.

[ dean looks surprised, he can't hide it... but eventually he nods, and yeah, it's good to know others miss their moms too, and shared good memories with them. ]

Huh. [ it sounds cute enough, and just about as personal and his memory-- only short of him having not seen it. a part of him wants to ask if she'd want to show him though.

his next question is careful. ]

From what I've seen, yeah. [ though admittedly dean hasn't moved from his room's door a whole lot, much more comfortable guarding it where he knows no one will be able to bust in. ]

...Man, sometimes figurin' out what's really going on gets real tirin'. It didn't even get this bad back home.

[ and then he'd still just be the bad guy. ]

Carol rolls her eyes. "Insulting women until they punch you is still not a good way to make friends." Of course, neither is having all of your emotions projected into their brains, but to be fair, that's not either of their faults. "Seems like another event. How fun."

Meg nods in understanding, catching on to the fact that the two of them are linked the way she seems to be with Klaus, who... well, he must be feeling a world of humiliation and deep, conflicting confusion. Being so vulnerable with the angel had been terrifying enough, she certainly didn't want to swap feelings with him. Especially when she probably understood better than most the levels of guilt he shouldered, after seeing him go completely unhinged over it.

She gets what's really going on, but that doesn't make such a threatening gaze from Castiel less unsettling. She almost looks wounded for a second, but sets her jaw and glares back, just as she would at Crowley. If looks could kill, she's fairly sure the entire immortal population of the room would be kicking the bucket regardless right about now, but thankfully, a little smoldering between angels and demons never actually hurt anyone, in theory.

"Yeah, what were you trying to prove, Crowley?" she chimes in, crossing her arms, obviously... completely... helping to resolve the situation. "Pretty sure he got the memo the first time we lived this." Her own sultry, flirtatious tone sets an uncomfortable background to the exchange, though it's just icing on the cake at that point.

The fact that the woman seems to know and like Cas is enough for Meg to drop her guard enough to carry on a civil conversation, though her expression is pervasively wary for at least a few more seconds. "Yeah, Dreamy's one word for it," she agrees, still trying to figure out who the fuck this girl even is.

"Your guess is as good as mine," Meg offers with a slight sideways smile, gazing over in memory-Cas' direction. "The more I watch this, though, the more I really think he might have gone for it," she muses. "What do you think... sorry, what was it?"
