[OPEN/PARTY POST] And when you all get shot and try to carry on;
Who: Anyone and everyone who is already a participant or wishes to join the Wonderland resistance! That means you. Yes, you. Get in here!
Where: Fort Dixon-Potter
When: Sunday, 6/15, 9:00 PM and onwards.
Rating: PG by default.
Summary:
The Story:
Sometime before nine o'clock rolls around, those who know their way begin heading towards the resistance hideout in the woods -- or Fort Dixon-Potter, as its come to be known. To any who have been invited to attend but don't quite know how to get there, Daryl Dixon has made himself available to escort people to the meeting, letting people in a few at a time.
Though the resistance's de facto leader is no longer with them, several veteran members have chosen to make use of their resources and bring as many more people into the fold as they can. There's food provided for all who attend: burgers, hot dogs, and other standard cookout fare to be passed around throughout the evening. Notebooks will be handed to all new members, and all will be asked to sign their names on the official roster, for reasons. It's time to discuss how to move forward with Operation: Anti-Jabberwocky. If anyone has questions about the last eight months or so in Wonderland? Now is the time to ask.
((OOC: This log is the follow-up to this post concerning re-organizing the resistance. If you're looking for the full OOC rundown of what the resistance is and how you can use it as a tool ingame, please see the information provided here and here! Feel free to use any of the subthreads below, or start top-levels for your characters as you see fit!))

NOTEBOOKS

Especially this kind of notebook. All things magic are definitely relevant to Charlie's interests, and so she'll be asking around to see who's in the business of handing out the goods. ]

That and he recognizes Charlie pretty quickly when she approaches, so he waves her right over enthusiastically, as though they've been friends forever.]
Charlie! Have you gotten a notebook yet?
[And he holds one up and waves it a bit.]

Sure haven't, and I'm dying to get one in my hands. [ And it's entirely possible she'll be a little goofy with it, but hey - nothing wrong with a little silly sometimes. ] Do we get codenames, too? Seems like it'd be the thing to do with a secret resistance and all.

She saunters over to the table and waits for the woman to finish up with the person ho'd been there ahead of her, casually sliding a finger over the edge of one of the books in curiosity. For all appearances, they seemed relatively normal.
As the other person moved away, Natasha glanced up with a faint smile.]
So. Is this our version of secret decoder rings?

[Emma smiles wryly as she hands Natasha the next one from the top of the stack, offering a shrug.]

Re: NOTEBOOKS
I didn't expect there'd be party favors.

Surprise, surprise. Everyone gets one.
[Emma turns, just enough to hand him a notebook.]

Not to mention he's probably the world's worst at keeping up with things.
But when he does roll up, he picks one of them up and flips through the pages a moment, before looking over the table, flipping it cover side out and raising an eyebrow.]
This our handy super secret spy notebook, or what?

and not just for science. So she's prepared for Tony's skepticism, although at the moment she's also confused. The way the notebooks are set up makes them seem like they're important for more than just note-taking, but for what she can't tell.So she picks up one of her own, but opts to give Tony a warning glance rather than reiterate the question. He's behaving himself at the moment, and she wants to keep it that way.]

Paper and pencil to combat the phones? The pen is mightier than the microchip?

[Emma can appreciate the skepticism that's going around. She'd been plenty skeptical when Dean had handed her her notebook, too.]
They're warded so they can't be monitored. Who the hell knows who's out there watching Wonderland's so-called network. Write something in one of these, it'll show up in every other notebook at once.

His main purpose is to get a notebook, but there's also a hidden one. Better to get an idea of who's running the show, so to speak. ]
Got an extra notebook you can send my way? [ He seems more relaxed than earlier, when he was watching the crowd. ]

Assuming Wonderland isn't sentient and can deduce what we're doing, what's to stop these from falling into the wrong hands?
[ Sabotage is the last thing they need. ]
no subject
If anyone picks them up but the person they belong to, they're rendered useless. They're warded, so while we can't send private messages through them -- yet, anyway -- if anyone else tries to grab hold of your notebook and take a peek, the spell will react and show them nothing but blank pages. Maybe sling an insult or two.
[James had to add a personal touch, after all.]

These things come with instructions?
no subject
[She offers him a notebook with one hand, the other coming to rest on her hip.]
Whatever you write in here will show up in all the others. No good if you only want to contact one particular person, but the Wonderland natives and the Mirrors can't see whatever's written in here. If anyone who's not you gets their hands on your notebook, it's warded so that they won't find anything if they flip through it. Discourages snooping. We have a few untrustworthy figures out there that we'll be doing our damndest to keep out of the clubhouse.
[It's only as she finishes that she turns her head to get a good look at him, having been searching for James in the crowd to see if he was on hand to help answers questions-- and for a split second, she looks like she's seen a ghost.]
