Who: Mirror Kaneki [
kuitai]
Where: All over the Real side of the Mansion
When: All through the event
Rating: PG-13-ish?
Summary: Kaneki's Mirror is hungry.
The Story:
After crossing over, Kaneki's Mirror spends his time wandering the Mansion and the grounds, searching for the sword without bothering to study the riddle. If it's where he looks, great. If not, maybe there will be a person there instead. That would be much better than finding the sword.
It isn't that he isn't looking for the sword or that he's anything but loyal to the Queen. That's not it at all. It's just that Kaneki's Mirror is so so hungry and he has no qualms preying on anyone from either side of the mirror. They'll come back to life on this side of the glass, right? So there's no problem.
[OOC note: With Kaneki's Mirror, anything between terrorizing and death are on the table. Unless injury/violence/etc. is requested, I'll keep it to terrorizing only. You can get ahold of me by PMing this account or via AIM at MadMadPhineas.]

He headed up the stairs past the second floor after having explored the first. Now it was just a matter of getting up to the right floor after his prey instead. He did take a look on occasion outside, finding that it really was colorful out there. Just like in the pictures. Sigh. Life is so... Hard to describe.
At either rate, Minato was perhaps much more focused that he normally would be about something. Thus if he passed by Kaneki's sight or even right by him as he passed the tearoom, then such as it was.
no subject
There was no one else around. This would be fine.
Stepping out of the tea room, he started after Minato, in no real hurry just yet.
no subject
He wasn't used to being followed, even as paranoid as he might've been. Thus he hadn't noticed Kaneki just yet as he entered one of the free rooms close to opposite his own. Maybe he could take another look outside that window...
Minato sighed. He didn't know when he'd ever be on this side again, so he had to enjoy it while he could.
no subject
"The color is nice, isn't it?"
He didn't want to chit chat, but it was only fair to exchange a few words before a fight. Humans were sentient, feeling beings, after all, just like ghouls, and a little warning that he was going to be killed had to be given.
no subject
"It is. You already looked outside? Did you want to take another look?"
Minato gestured over to the window. He put a hand in his pocket, but kept one out, pressed at his chest. If he had to grab his Evoker, he would.

As someone who relies so much on smell, it's extremely disorienting. She can't trust it anymore. Doubles and mirrors-- Pah! One of a person is more than enough. No one has the right to go on being just like someone else. The thought of her own mirror being out there somewhere makes her just as angry. They're probably a poor excuse for a Taguel...
The horrid stench of blood and gore hits her like a ton of bricks. Like Kaneki, like Uta, but even worse. She hisses under her breath. Where is it coming from?
no subject
As he follows that smell to its source, the smell of flesh and gore that he carries with him grows stronger. Of course, he's not covered in it--even his clothes aren't stained--but he hopes to be soon.
no subject
"Where are you?" she demands to the seemingly empty hall, clear and confident, "come out of hiding and face me like a true hunter!"
no subject
Kaneki's Mirror does step out, some ways down the hallway ahead of her, smiling. With senses that good, there's no way he could hide from her for long. His kakugan has already manifested in anticipation, leaving his left eye black with the exception of a bright red iris.
Unlike many that he's encountered so far, he has a feeling she knows what she's doing, and he isn't going to wait to manifest his kagune like he might with a human. Speed and strength alone won't cut it here.
The back of his sweatshirt stretches and then splits as first one, then another, and then a third long tentacle-like limbs grow from his lower back, curling around his body on his right side, each at least as long as he is tall and capable of growing even longer if he can fuel them well enough.

Injury/violence/snacking is fine, if it goes that direction. Eren heals quick.
It's during his search of the basement that Eren realizes that he might not be alone. Before he hears anything, he senses it, ducking behind a corner until he's had a chance to size the stranger up. He knows that there are Mirrors about, and that not all of them are friendly.
Yesss Eren will solve the problem of ghoul hunger in Wonderland
He isn't that worried about stealth, though. He's found that the less he tries to stalk people, the more taken off guard they are when he attacks. It makes things go faster if people don't think he's a threat from the beginning.
Although he can smell Eren nearby, he doesn't bother trying to pinpoint his exact location. Instead, he wanders in the vicinity, lingering a bit as he checks inside a closet that seems to have nothing but a tangle of pipes woven between its walls and ceiling, but to no apparent purpose.
Have an arm! Have a leg! You like eyeballs? Take a few of those, too!
If that's the case, it might be nice to have some help. "Uhm... Hi there," Eren starts off awkwardly, peeking out from behind his corner. He's sure to make no sudden movements, so as not to scare the stranger off. "I wasn't expecting to run into anyone else down here."
no subject
He turns toward Eren when he hears him speak and for a moment, he considers play-acting as the Real Kaneki. Then he smiles and shrugs that idea off. It would just be a waste of time and drag things out much more than he'd like. He has no reason to play with Eren before eating him, so there's no reason to be anything but straightforward.
"It seems like there aren't too many people who come down here."

So there's a lot to sift through, and it's enough to inspire him to stick to those he knows well, or simply search on his own. Oddly enough, Castiel's taken the same strategy as Kaneki. He's no good with riddles and he would rather leave that to others and simply search wherever he can think to look. It's already been established that a wrong guess doesn't lead to death, so there isn't much at risk.
As he wanders through the woods looking for any kind of sign, his senses pick up on something new. There are plenty of creatures he's never encountered back home that wander around here in Wonderland, but he's never encountered this particular signature before. It's hunger, something so strong it's almost in the same league as Famine, and Castiel turns sharply to seek out who or what is near.
no subject
He doesn't bother trying to be stealthy as he approaches Castiel and smiles when he finally sees him through the trees. He looks human, but so does Kaneki. If he can eat other ghouls, he can probably eat whatever this guy is. If not, well, it was an honest mistake. On this side of the glass, anyone killed will come back to life.
It's all he can do to keep his kakguan from manifesting--he doesn't want to scare a possible meal into running before he's close enough to attack--but he manages it and his eyes remain normal, matching human eyes.
"Hey. Have you seen anything out here? I've been poking around, but all I can find are pinecones."
no subject
While he doesn't immediately tense or fall into a battle pose, Castiel does look the stranger up and down. It takes some concentration and he has to peel through different layers of the being's soul, but eventually he picks out something else of interest.
He almost missed it, with so much else to sense about this bizarre figure, but without any explanation or preamble Castiel comes out with it. "You're a Mirror."
And some sort of unknown creature on top of that. Of all the people he could have come across in the woods, this has to be one of the worst options. Not that Castiel has any doubt of his own abilities. If this interaction deteriorates, he'll be ready to put the Mirror in its place.
no subject
"Is it a problem?"
This guy doesn't seem like much, but the way he speaks and carries himself has a certain something that makes him hesitate. It isn't confidence. No, it's more like certainty. That can be dangerous, if it's justified.

It's taking a toll on him, just like anything would take a toll on someone if they stuck at it without sleep long enough. It's okay, though. He'll sleep when the threat of death is gone. Besides, his wardrobe was full of carrots. Who needs sleep when they have carrots? Weak people, that's who!
Damn, does he ever want to go to bed.
He's so out of it that he practically walks into Kaneki - or rather, his mirror, but Dylas isn't to know that yet. He's half-forgotten the warning he received about the things crossing over to the mansion.
"Hey," he says, stopping suddenly and just managing to not collide with the other man. "You think it's around here too?"
no subject
He raises his left hand to his chin. "Maybe. But I thought that about every other place I've looked, too."
no subject
He pulls a carrot from his pocket (the natural storage place for carrots) and crunches it thoughtfully. It's sweet and refreshing, even if a poor substitute for carrots pulled fresh from the farm like he got back home.
no subject
He laughs at the suggestion, not taking notice as his left eye turns black. All except the iris; that goes bright red as blood floods it.
"I wish that kind of thing would work."

Mouth shut, she continued to walk ignoring him completely. She didn't know him and she didn't have to know him. Simple as that. Her hand on her sword ought to keep weirdos away. Right?
no subject
He repressed the urge to attack immediately. Normally he at least spoke to his chosen prey before killing--he felt obligated to treat them like the thinking creatures they were.
Despite the fact that she hadn't even acknowledged his existence, Kaneki turned as she walked past and spoke before she was more than a couple steps away.
"It looks like you found a sword."
no subject
"It's not the sword everyone is looking for. I almost did not recognize you. We spoke before, didn't we?"
no subject
"Not me. I'm from the other side." He gestured at a nearby mirror, glancing at it if only because the novelty of being able to see his own reflection hasn't worn off yet.
