Who: EVERYONE EVER
Where: The Ballroom
When: Friday, March 28th - Monday, March 31st
Rating: PG-13
Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:
The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.
In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.
There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.
But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.
(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)
OOC: Hello and welcome! This post marks THE BEGINNING OF ENTRANCEWAY'S FOURTH WALL EVENT. Hooray! Before you continue, please take a look at the rules for this event. If you have any questions, feel free to make use of the FAQ thread in that post, even if you aren't a regular player here!
All posts made after this one are considered part of the fourth wall event (unless they have been marked otherwise!). You are free to use the mod journal's reading page to find posts to tag into, if that is easier for you. ♥
Also, either prose or [action brackets] in this log are perfectly fine.
Please feel free to advertise OOCly on plurk, and to all of our guests - welcome to
entranceway and please enjoy your stay!

Eway | Souji | Open
As hard as it might be to believe, though, Souji does pay more attention to the faces around him than to the eatables. Though he's looking for people he knows, he's prepared to greet anyone who approaches him or even looks his way for more than a second or two.]
no subject
Dude, you can't eat that. You've been staring at it for like, a minute. Is this what you're reduced to without me?

[And now that that's said, Yousuke is getting the biggest hug that has ever happened in the history of Souji hugging people here in Wonderland.]
no subject
[It's been awhile, but Souji still outsizes him. The embrace crushes the air out of his lungs. He hugs Souji back, tapping at his back like a wrestler trying to tap out of a fight.]
Okay, okay! I missed you too! Gimme a break! Down boy!
no subject
How long were you gone?
[Time, he knows, is not the same here as it is anywhere else.]
no subject
no subject
...I guess that's about right.
[Then he's younger than Yousuke now, technically. That's a bummer.]
What's happening at home?
no subject
It'd be a lie if I had much of anything to say. It's Inaba, y'know? Senior year is kinda the pits.
I'm more worried about you, if things are still the same around here.

So there was someone over there that he had recognized. Souji dropped something on the ground, and while he was debating what to do about it, the Mirror helped by smoothly moving over there and kicking the bit of food away and out of reach.]
... Please don't do things like that to yourself. I wouldn't want you to suffer, after all.
no subject
Thanks.
[Souji rests a hand on his hip in his normal stance.]
Do you like it over here?
no subject
[Minato smiled again, and brushed some of his bangs from out of his eye, but his hair fell back in place. Always.]
"You're late for your session." We can continue it on now, if you'd like, now that we have so much time to spend together.
no subject
...I'd rather not talk about that.
no subject
[Minato tilted his head to the left and then to the right, stretching out the muscles there. He had been cooped up in his cocoon for a little too long.]
Isn't that when you're supposed to talk to people about it?
[Unless Souji wasn't as smart as Minato had given him credit for. Too bad.]

[Minato frowned a bit at that. So what if he wanted to hear about it?]

He was wandering like how Souji was, loving that there were so many people around. He always did like crowds to some extent, though he appreciated some time to himself if he needed it. But he thrived on others, if to make up for how little he had inside of him.
Ah, and the person who was standing in front of him with his back toward him was just too tall that Ryoji couldn't see way over to the other side of the room where he thought he saw a cute girl. But no problem, he tapped on Souji's shoulder, and if someone had been paying attention, his feet were hovering slightly above the floor. This way, since Ryoji was whispering as if they had been conspiring together, Souji could hear him better.]
Oh, perfect! You can see better over there. Isn't she cute? What do you think?
no subject
Which one?
no subject
[Ryoji chuckled, and leaned a little more over Souji's shoulder which he was sort of using as a perch.]
But it is a bit rude of me to involve you when you don't know me at all! A proper introduction begins with trading names first, doesn't it?
no subject
I'm Seta Souji.
no subject
[Oh, well, couldn't do anything about it now. Ryoji stopped hovering and moved to be in front of Souji now instead of behind him.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Souji-kun. I'm Mochizuki Ryoji. You have quite the party going on here, I have to say.
no subject
Minato's Mochizuki Ryoji?
no subject
I guess you could call me his in the sense that he's a good friend of mine. You know him, Souji-kun?
[But how? Ryoji hadn't recognized this boy at all, and Ryoji was pretty sure he knew everyone at school. And why would he phrase the question that way in the first place?]

Okay, that merits some investigation.
Souji crouches down beside the table and lifts the cloth to see who's down there.]
